well I got it done! The PET scan is over!
OK the PET scan is over. I drove to 7th street and McDowell in rush hour traffic and barely made it there on time. Then after a paper to fill out , the guy took me back to the room, covered me with a blanket and put an IV in, to administer the radioactive Glucose. Then i had to rest for 45 minutes. Then we went into the scanner room. I laid down , had to put my arms above my head and the he taped my forehead to the table and we started the scan. he had to do ten sections at 4minutes each and the I got to get up for 5 minutes while the computer put the images together and then lay down and get taped head down and strap my arms down to do another 2 sections of just my neck. for 12 minutes. then I was done. He couldn't give me any information about the results. so tomorrow I'll call and hopefully they will be at the DR.s office for my results to be told to me. and then i can call and get a CD of the scan. For my records. easier to get them now than later. So that was it. I did fine until Lance told me he was going in to work for the rest of the day. and then i lost it. I guess i get emotional after big tests and I'm on the rag so I'm hormonal too. Plus i fasted until noon. Now we wait for the news, which doesn't even make a huge difference because I'm having surgery anyway.

HANG IN THERE!! I'm glad Lance is staying home now, and you will get a nap. We remember you in all our prayers! Call and we'll go out - then you can not think about it for a while. :) Big hugs!
I had no idea it takes so long. You know, when I am watching those tv shows....it all happens so fast.
Praying for good results.
Wow, I had no idea that all takes that long. Good luck with everything.

Glad that is over...hoping that all is well when you get the results back!
