A Fluid Situation

Hey, we got nothing against fluid, per se. We’re second to none in our appreciation for various fluid-style substances, from beer to bleach. Some of our best friends are fluids. If our sister wanted to marry one, we’d give the happy couple our blessing. But fluid must know its place, and that place is not in your child’s ear.

While it’s more expensive than tugging on your tyke’s ear to see if they scream out in pain, the EarCheck Middle Ear Monitor EC-1 is a more accurate method for ferreting out an ear infection. At the touch of a button, it sends aesthetically pleasing sound waves into the tot’s ear canal, then analyzes the echo to determine exactly what the hell’s going on in there. Don’t worry – it’ll spare you the disgusting details. But it will let you know whether you should rush the kid to a doctor, just hang loose and keep an eye on the problem, or start investigating other causes of the kid’s ear pain.

Speaking of which: despite the lurid tales presently hawked in the gutter press, there probably aren’t any spiders living in your kid’s ear. But as soon as we get our hands on an EarCheck Spider Monitor, we’ll let you know.

That's pretty cool. My kids don't get ear infections that much...that I know of. Knock on wood. That's a handy little gagget.
