feeling really popular!
OK so today was our first day back in the ward we have been in the most time, for the bulk of our marriage. We livid here right after we got married for a year and a half until we bought our first house, since I was the last one married, we had that option. Then again for 4 months until i had Paxton, when we'd sold our house and moved to Yuma to open the Home Depot there. and then after we came back from Yuma, we stayed for 5.5 years while Lance was in school. We have been gone from this ward for 15 months. It is crazy to think it has been that long. and the ward is essentially the same! Everyone seemed so excited to have us back, and the primary that has been dwindling, just gained 6 kids. The primary kids lance and i taught when we were newlyweds just graduated! and they Just had youth conference, so today was what i call "youth conference Sunday" with all the testimony's given by all these cute young kids, fresh from youth conference! It was so awesome to see them and see how they have grown in the ten years since we were their teachers! they were all turning 9 back then and here they are, all grown up! They even came to my baby shower when i was prego with Peyton! even the boys came with their moms. So cute! Time flies! but then my YW adviser was conducting today in RS, and had to observe it seems like it wasn't that long ago I was graduating, and now i have six kids! So I am so excited to be back and feel so welcome, and Lance enjoyed it too! Now returning, he feels like he is his own person, instead of just my husband. Because when we got married and we started going, everyone just knew him that way. Now it is different! Pretty great! Oh and Hope who normally pitches a fit about nursery , went happily! then afterward, We had a good couple hours of "quiet time" ! Good day!
Oh and I found out from Liberty's primary teacher, that Alison Stewart Hawkins is expecting her #7! Holy Cow! Ali's mom is Liberty's teacher, which is so fun! So glad to be back!
*as a side note, we sat in the very front row! for all to see , we got there after the sacrament, and the overflow in the the gym was closed for the first time in my whole 23 years going to this ward either with my mom, as a kid, or before when we lived with mom. But holy cow can you imagine? parading in, going all the way to the front? and sitting on the deacons row? for lack of a better seat! Lame! Lame! Lame! thankfully the kids were pretty good and observers even complimented Lance, that they couldn't believe how good all of them were. Nobody told me that, But i guess men don't have a lot to talk about! so now we have to be early, to avoid that horror again!

How nice that your new ward, is actually your old ward! When we first moved to QC, our ward was so big that no one even knew we were new. There were 4-5 new families every week, with 600+ people in the ward. Glad you had a good Sunday and totally laughing about you having to sit on the front row. Think I would've opted for the couch in the foyer...
I am glad you had a good sunday. Can't believe you sat on the front row! I too would have just stayed in the foyer.
Love all the pics of the kids too!
I am so glad that things were good. I love Happy Sunday's....
And we sit on the front row every week, just on the right hand side. No one ever wants to sit there, so our seat is always open. It's great!
We sit right behind the decons. Ya, I'm pretty sure it make you behave better with everybody watching. I'm sure that your new ward is super happy to have you back.
that is so great i'm happy you had a good first sunday back! Wow you are brave to go to the front row!
What a nice Sunday. You are brave to sit in the front, I would have gone for the foyer.
Glad you had a nice quiet afternoon.
