NO results yet!
IT is kinda killing me, i haven't heard yet on my biopsy results. I called 4 times yesterday to ask if they were there yet, at the Dr. office. and to let the office know I was waiting and wanted them as soon as they came in. and the DR. is out of the office on Fridays, But they told me they would tell me if they were in, and i was going to go get a copy myself at the place the test was done, and go around the system. I found out once they send the results to the DR. they can release a copy to the patient, and it is totally advised to get copies of all your tests , pathology reports, labs, X-rays, MRIs , CT scans, surgery reports, and films if possible. that's how i found out i had cancer, I went to the DR. after surgery, and he never told me it was actually cancerous. But when i was switching DR.s for follow up, and getting copies of my chart, I read the pathology report and it read, CARCINOMA, the stupid Dr. failed to inform me I had indeed had cancer 2 years before. So I am all about patient rights to their records, and when it suits me, I get my copy of the report, even before I talk to the DR.! and I have learned the hard way that it's better to get them sooner than later, because if it is longer than 6 months, lots of places send away the films for storage. and it is harder to get them. they tell you it takes 48 hours but it is more often 2 weeks. LAME! SO it is after 5 on Friday and no report yet, so Monday I'll start calling the office again. today it was almost every hour. lucky them. I fully admit I am impatient. LAnce thinks i can relax while waiting, i can't . I wanted the report so i could relax. I dreamt about it all night last night! anyway! hope you have a good weekend!

Oh man! I'm sorry you don't know anything yet, and have to wait until Mon. to start trying again. I think these doctors need to totally go through what they make their patients go through so they know how it is. Totally sucks! Good advice on getting your own patient info though, so thanks for sharing that.
I'm so sorry you even have to go through any of this! I hope you find something out soon.
Aaargh, I am frustrated FOR you!! When my sister was going through all her health crap, the doctor said it could be valley fever or lung cancer! Then, waited and waited and took forever to get the results back and finally my sister had to call him at HOME... the nerve some of these drs have! (It was valley fever.) Hang in there! Make more cookies! Ü
That sucks. I know you really wanted those before the weekend. Hang in there, I know that is easier said than done. Do something extra fun this weekend.
