Bunko, and Harry Potter OOTP

bunko, always fun, always delightful! great food , great prizes, and fun people!and Liberty;s house was decorated so fabulously! I loved all of her flag stuff, and the red white and blue! the Red toile and her red highchair! but tonight there was a kink in the plan, what normally is a long leisurely game , and chatting, was tonight a rush to finish, because i had tickets to HARRY POTTER! so did Lindsey, tickets and people waiting for us to hurry and come sit at the theater! Luckily My Awesome and favorite brother Aaron went and sat early, I'm talking 5 hours early in the best row, the front of the top section you know with the bars to put your feet on! love it! he sat with his daughter Mckenna who is nine, and waited saving the best seats, I am pretty sure he was the first person in that theater! they had let the first line enter the theater at 6:30 and the let the other theaters fill up according to movie show time! ours was 12:10! and oh so delightful, there were 12 theaters showing it at AMC grand tonight!

So my impression of the Movie? you wanna know? It was fabulous! it moved quickly and smoothly with no lagging , it followed the story line in the book well, of course leaving out some detail like all movies do, but it didn't feel to me, like it was missing anything really important. the music was great adding a lot of suspense and there was more humor in this one than the other movies. I felt like if you hadn't read the book before , you wouldn't totally be lost in the story, it introduced everyone pretty well, although leaving out of course name of people you should know from the past movies, but i found it interesting there was no intro of the the order of the phoenix, assuming you would know from the book, or it wasn't a large part of the story, leaving out Lupen in the intro of the members. over all i loved it! and i really like how the girl who played Luna Lovegood played her part! not sure my kids could hack it because at one point i was a tad freaked and flipped off the screen, makes me feel a little better, and makes my friends and family laugh at me. whatever! but totally worth the time stress to "do" both things tonight! and makes me even more excited to read the book when it comes out in 10 days! Whoohooo!
* ok and i take back my not taking kids thing, if your kids can handle suspenseful movies, take them , it was less scary than some of the last HP films, or the Pirates of the Caribbean flicks. I just have a low movie stress tolerance, and have opted out of the last couple Pirates movies and all of the Lord of the rings. I make it a point to avoid additional stress when i can.
did you see it yet??
do you plan on it?
are you a Harry Potter fan?

HUGE potter fan thanks to my friend Jill! I can't wait to see it--on Friday morning! My husband and step dad are huge fans too so we are all going together! I am way excited and thanks for not revealing everything about it--I have read all the books so it woudln't have mattered too much to me, but others might care! Anyhow, after reading what you wrote I am only more excited for it than ever!!!

I'm a fan but not a big enough one to go sit and wait. And I hate being in theaters that are crowded. I like my space. So I'll wait awhile. Glad you had fun!

I started reading all the books, but have trailed off at some point, I can't remember which one's I've read and which ones I haven't. I LOVE the movies and we own all the ones that are out so far. I plan on seeing the movie at some point. Just don't know when!
Glad that you came to Bunko! It was so fun to see you...and I'm glad that you had fun at the movie. Good review. Glad to know that I shouldn't take Sweet G.

I love Harry Potter and I love you! I begged my hubby to let me go last night, but he wants to see it with me. LAME! I just finished book 5 for the second time and am a few chapters into book 6 again. I am rushing to finish before book seven. I was sick the other day, so I layed in bed and watched all four movies in a row. Yeah, you could say I am a bit of a Harry fan. Today we went to see Happy Feet for Summer movie club and I was so tempted to leave my kids and go stand in the back of the sold out Harry Potter next door. Damn! I should have done that! Anyway, I miss you girl! Hope you are loving the house and the extra space! Still sporting my big blingy sunglasses and a big thank you for the inspiration~
