Liberty did great!
ok so we went to the DR. this morning and she did great! they checked her lymph nodes and they weren't overly swollen. but the achy , tired, and pain were indicators that her Epstein-Barr, might be back in action . which in the past went semi un-noticed, she complained about being tired and her throat hurting back then and i dismissed it and she got through it. then on the labs it showed up. so this is probably the same thing. they ordered labs, and we went and had them done! she did awesome , no tears! she sat there like a pro! so yay! for that! they did a thyroid panel too, just to see where she is with that again. I was pretty thrilled with only taking Pierce and Liberty with me to the DR., it was so quiet and calm, nobody talking constantly or fighting.
and the DR. said she could go to school today , but i am letting her stay home mostly because i didn't get to shower yet and don't wanna go into the office looking as gross as i do. what is ok at the peds office at 8:30 am , isn't ok at the school at noon. oh and the Dr. said since Liberty has had Epstein-barr before, it can come back anytime throughout her life, and is the basis behind chronic fatigue syndrome. great! but it's better than lymphoma! and it isn't full blown mono either , so it's not contagious! yay! i was worried about that good time.
I'll update when we got the labs back.

It's always nice when the DR's appts go smoothly! Glad to hear everything went good!
I'm happy that everything went well.
So glad that everything was so good. Especially the only taking 2 kids to the dr. part. Love that!
Are you still going to the same dr? How is the new office? I haven't been to it yet.
Anyways, glad to hear that she's going to be okay!
(((HUGS))) to Liberty!
Glad eveything went well! I had epstein bar and mono in the 11th grade. Not fun! Glad she is not contagous. I hate that, especially when there is kids galore at your house! Hope the rest of your day goes well.
lucky that you only had to take one kid!! glad she is doing better.
Im so glad to hear it wasn't anything serious! Huge relief for you Im sure..Had to laugh though about the shower thing, and dropping her off at school. When Jordan was in kindergarten, I had jumped into the shower late this day..when I had gotten out I had a message from her school that it was early release, and she needed to be picked up (note that this school was HORRIBLE..about handouts for things like this)..So i show up to pick her up from the office..and she starts laughing at me with my just showered hair, no makeup...and she says to me "what's wrong with you...why do you look so wierd" I will never forget that one..I guess I rarely go without my makeup on.Gotta love kids and how they speak their mind.....so anyway, glad it went well for you!
I am glad that it went well!! I hope her labs are normal and she can get feeling better soon!!!! Totally agree w/ the out in public early and late theory. My problem is early morning look usually ends up following me around the reat of the day!!!!!
Julie,
Came across your website today. Lets get in touch. Katie Thomas (Stephens) www.foreverthomas.blogspot.com
Glad that it went well. I love when they act brave and get through the doctor without crying or throwing fits. My boys actually asked to go to the doctor this summer for check ups...they're weird. I didn't know that EB was behind Chronic Fatigue. That's something my MIL dealt with for years. Way to give her the day off, too.
So glad it is over and doesn't sound tooo serious. Glad she did good, that makes it easier on you!
