the sweetest gesture ever!

ok my fellow thyroid cancer blog friend CancerMAN.
posted last night the sweetest thing i have ever heard, and since i assume no one uses all the links i post i am copying it from his page for your reading pleasure and my own record .

"In regards to previous posts, the Howard Solomon Race for Thyroid Cancer: which I am renaming the Howard Solomon, JT and CrazyMama Race for Thyroid Cancer (JT and CrazyMama: I intend to make my donation to ThyCa in all three of our respecitve names, if that's cool by you) can take place on your choice of September 8th or 9th. Biking counts too -- what the heck. There's no rules to this thing. The point is to get everyone out there doing something aerobic. Michael B has an awesome idea: please email a photo of you before, after or during your respective *event* and I will post on an accessible gallery."

"reading that seriously put me into a stupor! Iwas FLABERGASTED and AMAZED at this nice guy and the sweetest gesture ever! I sat here thinking," how sweet is that? and holy crap what will i do now?!" and so by suggesting this, he has guilted me into doing a mile or two power walk at the zoo that day, since i of course don't run or even own a bike, but all that uphill stroller pushing in AZ heat should count for a little something. ok so i just had to share! what a sweet gesture and totally unsolicited. and fully unexpected. i was just going to sit by and let him have his fabulous event, and not participate. we have never met. i only know him from blogging! and the thyroid cancer online support group. but really only blogging since there isn't much interaction on the group, just mostly venting and questions. but totally by blogging, i have at least gotten to see into his blog life, and of course I comment tons.
but it made my day and i just barely woke up!

so thanks cancerman , even though you don't read my blog, thanks for thinking of me!
YOU ROCK!

Too awesome! and I have to concure with the zoo walk --I did the zoo in 85degree weather with a stroller and two days later had my little man A--it is totally a massive workout with all those hills--good luck! :)

I love the zoo! If I was in AZ. I would go. We have a season pass to the Hogle zoo here in Utah.

Ya I have an appointment with an E.N.T. in 2 weeks. Lily just had her second shot for her ear infections. They can't get them to go away. Luckily she still sleeps through the night. Spencer was and absolute moster when he had ear infections.

The poop picture... how could I not take a picture of that. I'll show it to his future wife... ha ha.

Hey Joobs,
I'm in! We'll take a picnic and buy giant cups of Dr.Pepper - too fun (well, except for the cancer part, and the walking part.)
