does anyone else remember going to parties and this was the band that played? Yup, some of the guys from Jimmy eat world went to our high school a year or two ahead of us and some went to our rival high school but the same Jr. high. and seriously they look the same in this video, not in others i have seen but the clean cut, polo look?! totally! i don't know though, some of the guys were a tad more skater back in the day. and of course i was hot for them or their friends. but seriously i had crushes on tons of guys!almost always older ones and usually from another school. and i am calling this my memory lane Monday post! i remember going to a party where Jimmy eat world was playing, in someones back yard, and some of these guys friends were all graduated from Westwood, i was hot for Westwood guys, and some of the guys from my Jr. high crushes were there with the band, they all still keep in touch even now, but i was at this party , the band just got done playing and some of the guys i had crushed on kept looking at me. staring, why I'll never know, probably because they recognized the girl that crushed on them and had their name written all over her leg one day in 8th grade( like seriously graffiti! Huge letters up one side of my leg. my long bare leg with short shorts, flaunting that i had a crush on this guy, apparently i had no pride. and seriously he had no idea who i was at the time, but when he saw me at this party 5 years later he stared. i vaguely remember one of them coming up and saying something to me like i looked familiar.but i wasn't going to admit " yeah i totally had a major crush on you when you were in ninth grade" ,that would just be looser-ish, and we bailed right after that, doing something else that night. I'll I just pretend they thought i was hot when they saw me at that party and wished they had hooked up with me! yup! imaginary crushes can go both ways. and lets just say i was hot back then! of course i never thought so. but ya know, whatever! high school is over and we all survived somehow.

oh and in Jr. high I heard a rumor that one of those guys staring at me at that party had crushed on me when i was in seventh grade but i guess i was snotty , and didn't know who he was, and he was shy so it was nothing more than a rumor.He was still shy after high school and at that party (thus Just staring and not hitting on me like he should have.) I believe i had been hot for one of his friends back in jr high. which was usually the case. and of course nothing happened there, but i still have the memory of the rumor of a guy that crushed on me in 7th grade. and he is still friends with Tom Linton of Jimmy Eat World! so that is my lame attempt at memory lane Monday!!

did their friend start digging on you instead of the the guy you liked?
i seem to alway attract the sidekick, not the super hero i had a crush on.

and the shy guys always ended up digging on me. can someone explain that to me? logically it makes perfect sense but in in real life it lacks something. and hey i am married to one of the shy guys. of course by then i wasn't waiting for they shy ones to make the move on me anymore, i asked him out. little did i know we'd get married.
