FUN FRIDAY & 7 random things about ME! prepare to be amazed!

oh and i was tagged by my sister Janie! ok really i think i may struggle for once to come up with 7 whole random things. but since i can't remember which random things i have posted before, hopefully you won't remember either. so here is hoping some of these are new random things. in no particular order.

7. I hate tums! yeah the antacid chewables! they are sick in the nasty way, not the newfangled cool way , and i prefer to only eat the white ones. and when those are gone i go for the red , then orange, then green and there is no way in hell i will eat a yellow one. i give those to Lance. yellow is banana flavor and i find it repulsive, even more repulsive than all the other flavors. and i have acid reflux but don't take prilosec or anything smart like that , only tums on occasion.

6. I dislike people with "holier than thou" attitudes. people that make blanket statements about things that they only know in theory , and people who give false compliments. and people who have no tact, they are rude, and they don't consider other peoples feelings when sharing their opinion. oh and people who think whatever they do is fine but judge everyone else. and their taste is the only taste to have. theses things bug me because really i am not one to judge other people's lives or realities and i have pretty fine taste, i like my stuff but if other people have their own taste then great but don't go judging me and my taste because you think you have better taste and your taste is the only way to go. i don't go judging your taste and pushing mine on you!

5. i can't make a decision on my own but i like to veto ideas. for example. when it comes to where to eat out, I pick my favorite place or whatever i am craving, but if Lance is helping me pick, i make him list places for me to veto. and then i pick that way. it is weird i know and really only an issue if i am not hungry or we are in a group.

4.my food issues are all random. I don't eat bone in chicken, and if i perchance find myself obligated to eat any meat with bones in it i make Lance pick it out for me. i don't eat sandwiches, ever except grilled cheese and now a big breakthrough in my life, chicken salad sandwiches but only on croissants. like i said last week, limited cheese and dairy products, and never cold cuts. i only started eating lasagna a few years ago, i had an aversion to it because of the cheese. i don't really eat steak, or pork or other meat. and if you want me to go to a steak house i call it "man food". yeah random. it's the name of the game. and i didn't eat bread until i was 16ish and it had to be homemade sliced thick and toasted. i always ate toast but it can't smell like preservatives and i am not a fan of putting my hand in the bag.

3.i use a 13 gallon construction duty shop vac. in my house. for everyday crap. litter , garbage, kid messes in my house. and i prefer to make the kids do it. we have a dyson, but really the shop vac is fabulous for the gross pick up and the dyson is just for the carpet lines.

2. i love the dollar store, and places with bargains. woot is having it's woot off, and since we don't have money to spend on things offered there i haven't looked at it. oh i guess i missed the woot off altogether. this is a huge victory for me resisting the urge to sit in front of the computer waiting for a new deal. a huge show of self discipline on my part for the first time ever! yay me! and i love free stuff, and gift with purchase. love it love it! ♥♥♥♥♥ and i love a bargain. and on the other side of the coin i hate finding a deal on something i have already paid regular price for like the wii games we got last year for 50 bucks some of the lamer ones are now only $20 at walmart! i was bummed to say the least. resist Happy feet, it looked cute and fun but it really is dumb and no one wants to play it.

1.I resent the scouting program in the church! yup! you read that right i resent scouting. the whole go out and be a leader to boys other than your own, and spend weekends overnight camping. super activities, and camporee's. not to mention midweek activities. oh yeah it bugs me. i know it is from my own dad's neglect to us girls and attention to his scouts that i have come to hate the scouting program . but when i see other people i know who spend very little time with their own young families and yet take a week off in the summer for scout camp and can't take time off for a trip to sea world i have to think the scouting program sucks. too much time reliving their glory days as scouter's and not enough time spending it with their families?? i think scouting is fine if your kids are in it, in the right age that you are their leader . but really? when i have 6 little kids at home and not enough sanity to go around , and they wanna take my husband and my van on an overnighter? when i only have a wolf cub, that isn't old enough, i have an issue with it. but that is just me.

ok so a little bit of random and a little bit of ranting.

Oh man, you tagged me? Ok, gotta give this some thought. Loved reading yours. Our internet was down most of the day yesterday, so I'm trying to play catch up.

I love a bargain too!! I am not much of a internet shopper. I do not know why. I am sure GL is happy I have not discoverd all the deals in cyberspace yet.

I also make Trevor give me a list of foods before choosing what I want to eat.. He hates it, but I have such a hard time figuring out what I want.. It's so fun to learn more about you.. :0)

Ok, I see you tagged me. I need to think for a few minutes, then I'll post my 7 randoms!

I have meat issues, too. Maybe I'll include that in my randoms.

OK ... I have issues with scouts too. Mostly cause growing up the young men could call their activities "scout" activities and do & spend whatever $$ they wanted. They even went on a cruise thing once over by San Diego. But the YW aren't allowed to raise money and go on fun activities ... why don't they start calling YW Girl Scouts?? I also agree men shouldn't be doing those things if they can't find the time to do them with their own family. The YM here were asking Joel if he wanted to spend a week riding his bike to DC ... that was NOT happening! What do they think he's doing out here ... sitting around and twidling his thumbs?? NO, he's spending about 12 hrs/day at school + studying.

Wow, you are so not on your own with the scouting thing. I totally agree. I wish the church would do away with all of it. Happy Friday!

Same issues with scouting here! And what's with Adults feeling compelled to become The Big Scout Man just for themselves, not even their calling - and yes, I'm talking about my own hubby. I was the total cub scout Mom for years, but when he decided that he wanted his Golden Moose Award or whatever, I said he had to be the scout guy at home too. If they don't get their Arrow of Light or Eagle, it will be Scout Man's fault - not my job anymore!

I can't believe that you STILL can't keep a secret.

Those are good ones. I would have to agree on the scouting thing. Far too many outings in my opinion!
