i am doing pretty darn well on my own this week.

i think everyone (my mom , his mom, the kids, me, lance ) has been concerned about Lance being out of town for work and me alone with all of the kids. since he is such a huge help. BUT i have been doing great!

  • they haven't been late yet. all week!
  • i have fed them dinner 2 nights-pizza and taco bell but still. i loaded everyone in the car for it.
  • I made Hot cocoa last night from scratch with our cocoa latte. it is a machine that mixes it and heats it. but you use real cocoa, sugar and milk and vanilla.
  • i did the dishes this morning and started the load.
  • scrubbed the sink and a counter. before school.
  • fed people breakfast
  • dropped the kids off at school and gone to sonic for beverages.
  • taken out the green barrel with yard stuff, and the blue recycle cans just in time.
  • given baths to everyone
  • done hair for all the kids.
  • gotten myself dressed before 8:30. ( i haven't showered but i can't have it all can I ?)
  • put Hope on the bus.
  • finished my "these is my words" book , yesterday which i loved, maybe a library visit is due, but I'd get more done if i didn't. but i am dying to read #2 and 3 of that series.
  • watched my shows last night.
  • let the little girls sleep with me. and only got hit/punched in the eye once. and mostly kicked in the back a little. maybe that is why i have a head ache? tonight Paxton wants to sleep with me. so it'll be less crowded. Hope and Joy are wild sleepers. Paxton is too but there will be more room with only one kid.

I am doing rad so far. i have other ambitions too. like clean the bathrooms and paint the front room . but we'll see what i get done. i am just thrilled i haven't yelled at the kids at all. or lost it like i normally do. pretty great. maybe it is because i am just surviving and not getting a lot accomplished. lower expectations make for less stress but a dirty house . i dunno if I'll get a ton of time to blog. if you get any great deals online or see some in the paper let me know-email me. i am lacking anything great for tomorrows fabulous Friday bargain post.

and i am really excited about our trip to Portland. Lance actually said he thought we'd opt out!
but i told him no way! i already had a sitter lined up!

Congrats on all your accomplishments. I've been trying to make baby blankets (I've completed 5 in a week) which is a HUGE accomplishment. My house, however, is a disaster and I forgot that a painter was coming to finish up some home warranty stuff this morning. HOW EMBARRESING cause my house was gross. While the paint was drying he went out to his car and got this special cleaning stuff that takes crayon marks off of tile. Real nice guy... But still I try to get my house clean for stuff like that... you know I'll clean for strangers, but not my family. Whatever...

Nice job! Chris is left me today and won't be home til Saturday night. He did this last weekend too...hunting season. So far I have failed miserably and totally yelled at the kids to stop fighting and help clean up. I suck as a mom today...

You actually get used to them being gone. Now sometimes I look forward to it. But don't tell him I said that. It was a lot harder when my kids were babies and I was also working. Getting up at 5am to do a load of laundry before getting ready, dropping the baby off at Grammy's, going to work....those were the days.
