Happy Birthday Lance!

whoohooooooooooo Lance is having a birthday. yup!He Turned 38 today. and i am excited becuase that's one year closer to 40 for him. and i think there will be an old man party planned. he still looks like he's 23 but he is getting some more gray hairs. which i love, and of course i can't leave them there like he'd prefer, i pull them out! anything out of the ordinary gets pulled by my fave tweezers and he'd totally prefer I'd leave them in, he's hoping he'd look just a little older. i should leave them so i don't look like the old lady in comparison( all the kids have made me old prematurely). but i just can't resist. he especially loves it when i pull out the gray chest hairs. and whoohoo on the odd gray long old man eyebrows i pull out. and the ear hairs! love those, i watch for them and it's like christmas when one grows in, now that is my kind of surprise! better than christmas really. He can't have old men fuzzy earlobes now can he? and mentally he is like every other guy, he must be great old or not. heavy or thin, short or tall , all men think they are fabulous. if only I had a quarter of the self confidence he has, i would be strutting my stuff all over town.

Now in honor of his Birthday I'll list 10 things about him that I love... (in no particular order)

1. he married ME. knowing the real me. and is still married to me . pretty great. since i know i am not the easiest person to live with.
   
2. he shows love by acts of service, like he tolerates my laundry OCD and does it my way,he cooks dinner alot.
   
3. he is super smart
4. randoms facts are never forgotten, and always shared.
   
5. he gave me 6 cute,super smart kids. and is open to the idea of more someday.(just not this year or the next probably)
   
6. he doesn't mind that i am taller than him . or that I'm loud, totally crude and not shy.(he only minds about the crudeness at the dinner table.)
   
7. he has great taste in books and love to share them.(I gave him the next book in my series for his birthday, but i get to read it too. smart on my part, plus he is ready for it and i still have the last one to read. but he started me on this series in the first place)
   
8. he helps the kids with their math homework since math concepts are lost on me entirely.
   today he had two candles on his cinnamon roll, and he turned it into a math lesson for the kids, they had to figure out how many years each candle would represent. 38 divided by 2 = 19 , Peyton figured it out, i didn't bother trying. but they are all super math smart thanks to Lance and his casual way of slipping the knowledge into daily things.
   
9. He is a hard worker , and has always taken care of our family. and he was an awesome example of following through and getting an education even though it wasn't easy. and our kids watched him and by his example there is no question that they all want to go to college and get their educations too.
   
10. he's got mad skills, computer skills, flooring skills, electrical skills, plumbing skills, math skills, problem solving skills, and loving his family skills.
