the things kids say...

so i got out of the shower today before all the hot water was gone (which is the normal length of my shower-as long as it's hot I'm in there) because the whole time i was in there i hear a banging noise.i didn't rush, but wondered what the hell was going on. SO i get out to find that Pierce was having a grand time banging on the doors in my room. the closet, the wall, all of the doors.

as I'm getting dressed Hope finds one of my bras (it is laying around lets be real here) and holds it up to her chest, looks in the mirrored closet doors and is singing to herself in a sort of chant. "I have boobs , i have big boobs. I'm so cute , i have big boobs," yeah she is 3. funny kid. it was all i could do not to run down and get my camera but then you'd all see my bra, (the pink one no less) and how the cups are bigger than her head. yeah. NICE. in my defense she is really petite.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope has started singing all the time any feelings she has? she sings about. the other day she had her cousin Maria spend the night. maria is 3 too. But Joy and Liberty kept honing on on the new friend to play with , and left Hope out. so Hope is downstairs singing, "every-one ha-tes no-one is my friend-d I'm sooo sa-ad everyone hates me. ..." sad and yet so darn cute. poor kid was stinky and the other girls are all potty trained and i was ignoring the need for a diaper change. yeah i am rad. poor, neglected, stinky kid singing pity songs.
i should TRY to do something about that potty training. i figure she'll get it on her own someday. but since she was so pathetic, Hope spent the night at her cousin Maria's house a couple days later all by herself, no big sisters honing in on the friend this time. MY sister Maria is extra sympathetic about feeling left out since anytime people would come stay with us or even come play all of her friends wanted to play with me. she knows the left out part well. and since we are a year and a week apart, she had her whole life of that wonder. she still has residual bitterness about our childhood. she was perfect, i got in trouble because she played the victim well. that and i was pretty mean, and she was really gullible so it was extra fun to tell her stuff and present it as truth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

then Yesterday Hope came up to me and said " i don't like moms i only like dads." gee ,thanks!

Yikes, looks like Hope is coming into her own. My Hope is 5 and she still sings songs like that, should I be concerned? Loved the bra song, little does she know when she actually has to wear one she'll be a lot less impressed with them. ;)

She is too funny! I love the bra song. And I always sympathize with the kids being left out. And with the adults being left out, too. I hate to see anyone without a friend or someone to talk too.

My twins are three and they look so much younger to me. Maybe I am in denial. One of my twins, Hailey, sings songs all day about everything in the world too. I am in love with her sweet voice right now.

Oh and my mom took a picture of me trying on her bras. To this day I HATE that picture (I was naked too).

First of all I am loving the new look of your blog! DARLING! Hope is sounding like she is becoming her own little person! I just love when kids sing about what they are feeling. It is almost like listening to a story of what is going on in those litle minds of theirs. :)

Yes, kids are FAB when it comes the BRA situation . I have 5 boys and they think it should be used for a sling shot. FUN ! LOVE the new look of the blog. I really like the topper. VERY CUTE !

Gracie sings her feelings too! She also sings about what she's eating, what she's drawing, what she's doing in the tub....I think she and Hope could get along even if they are a few years apart!!

LOVE the picture of her!!! RAD.

I love your blog! You are so fun. I served my mission in Mesa. I'm jealous of the weather there these days. It snowed a bunch here today. (Idaho)

I love the boobs story that is so funny. What fun to hear her sing around the house - I hear you on the potty training thing - I think we've almost got it licked though - cross your fingers!

Happy New Year!!!

What a little sweetheart! P just loves her and remembers her in his prayers every night! So sad that she was singing sad songs and being left out, but I guess she'd better get used to it.
