RAD weekend.

so I've received Emails saying,"are you OK? it's been __ # of hours and you haven't posted".

yeah not yesterday and this is the first today and it's 8:38pm. SHOCKING i know.

yes I'm fine. i have been hanging out.

i finished" The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls, today. i was horrified at the whole thing, but couldn't keep from reading . seriously. WHY? WTH? Horrible. amazing and seriously over the top! of course it causes me to reflect on the parts of parenthood where i am lacking. i said as much to my sister in law and she thought that was ridiculous, since we do in fact have a home, and clothing, and my kids don't cook at the age of 3. And they do have adult interactions and we aren't alcoholics. so yeah i guess we don't completely suck but I'm sure there are areas we could improve. i can always improve.

Yesterday i helped Lance put more of the swing set together , he was out there for 10 hours and i helped for 4 maybe.

in the morning I'd gone to Nordstrom rack to get some new shoes they were having a giant sized event. i wear a size 11wide or 12. so cute shoes are hard to come by, but they sent me a post card they have this event once or twice a year, and they went up to size 14 women's shoes. i got some fabulous Steve Madden peep toe slingback wedges. but I am severely in need of a pedicure before i can wear them. this week I'm going to do that. if the pedicure is cute enough I'll take a picture to post in my new shoes.

Lance got back in town Friday night which was fabulous. i wanted to go on a date but didn't get a sitter, and we worked on the swing set til after dark and by then he was fried literally (red sunburned neck) and figuratively (spent and aching) . so he stayed home and rested and i went to Marshall's and Walmart. quick trips for both. i was tired too. and i went to the one in the ghetto.

highlight of yesterday was HOPE put a folded up piece of paper in her ear canal. it's still in there. we'll go get it removed tomorrow. i was pretty peeved she did that.
and today's highlight was some child or children took my new makeup brushes that i got yesterday and played outside with them i found one kid wiping windows scrubbing around with one. and another one is already missing a handle. i was PISSED! and my behind neighbors enjoyed the yelling I'm sure . their back door is open alot. and was open at the time. and i yell loudly, there was limited cussing i think i held back a little. seriously. RAD(in it's most sarcastic form)

in other rad news I'm on the rag. thought I'd share. yeah thrilling. seriously i like to be pregnant for the lack of periods. I've been pretty even tempered until today. no pre at all. it's all after the fact. flipping awesome. OH that reminds me! there was a shirt at Kohls for the boys that said
"AWESOME ends with ME"- hello! going to Kohls tomorrow and getting that for my boys. yes I'm a dork.

Oh and while i wasn't blogging i looked in the Sunday ads! it has been a long time since i have devoted time for that. of course looking at them leads me to believe there are things i must purchase. but still we get the paper just for the ads. and i haven't been looking at them .

Well, Lance isn't home yet from his family party (i stayed home with snotty nosed Pierce, there is a rule about not coming ill or slightly ill so the family newborns can come) it's an hour past kids bedtime. that is RAD ( yes sarcastically again) we've gone to most functions but i haven't seen my sister in law all winter because someone usually has a fever. sad really.

anyway. super exciting things going on. do you feel better now that you are in the loop? i know you missed me. ha! ok hope ya had a rad ( or RAD) weekend too.

Too bad you guys couldn't go! I bet the house was nice and quiet though!

That sucks about your makeup brushes and I would have been ticked off too! Last weekend my kids opened up 6 2-liter sodas and dumped them all downstairs!!! Does that make you feel better? :)

Hope you have a great week!

I'm so glad for the update. I'm starting to realize my addiction to your blog because I probably checked at least 10 times during the past 48 hours. I know...pathetic!

Glad you are alive. :) How sad about the makeup brushes! I have an extra set from Lancome - want them? And how's the swing set coming along? PICS!!
I need a pedicure too - let's hit together and then I'll buy lunch!
Miss ya!!

I have not heard the phrase "on the rag" for 15 years! You're making me feel young again :)

I admire your restraint regarding the makeup brushes incident. I may have gone to find a wooden paddle.

Dang kids!! At least all the dumb stuff makes for funny stories later on.....
Wasn't the Glass Castle so great? I couldn't believe she still talks to her mom!! I thought it was a great read.

Oh man.. I would have TOTALLY yelled too about my make up brushes. Seriously... they would not have seen the light of day for AGES!

Are you almost done with teh swingset? I am telling you.. it takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get that swing set up. So worth it though.

I took a break from the computer this weekend. We had SO much fun as a family. And got the entire house whipped back into shape since we have been sick.
