blitching about the process.
yeah so cleaning. whoo!
hating it? FOR SURE!
dreading having Lance's UNCLE come tomorrow to do assorted tasks, including but not limited to flooring on the whole main floor. yeah i said so last time i posted but you have no idea what that means.
AND hello what happened to the budget? yeah we are borrowing to do this crap. i hate borrowing funds. it freaks me out. LANCE thinks I'm a retard. to get over it. get the crap done. pushy pushy. i never want to do anything blah blah blah. dread bicker bicker. blitch and moan. UGH! blah blah blah. dread bicker bicker. blitch and moan. UGH! blah blah blah. dread bicker bicker. blitch and moan. UGH! blah blah blah. dread bicker bicker. blitch and moan. UGH! blah blah blah. dread bicker bicker. blitch and moan. UGH! blah blah blah. dread bicker bicker. blitch and moan. UGH! blah blah blah. dread bicker bicker. blitch and moan. UGH! whine.
its true the house is nightmarish in its outdated 80's wallpaper in sea foam green, and peach. i hate peach, i've always hated peach. but it's what was here when the folks bought the house. it's still there now that we own it, with crayon and marker on top, but still there. i have always hated it but i fear the process. how will this effect my day? how will the family function while in limbo? where are me and the kids gonna hang out during it? what will i do? and what about the no money to actually do the improvements? OH and also i happen to have mad skills at cutting tile and mixing mud , i was "the grunt" aka cheap labor for around 6 months when Lance and i were engaged. i did the prep, hauled in tile , sorted it, mixed the mud and grout, and cleaned out the grout lines, then cleaned after. or trimmed the carpet, and picked up scraps, and vacuumed on carpet jobs. Lance did flooring for 14 years before going to school. i know the mess. i've helped make the mess. but i can't be the grunt with kids around, and Lance is still working. his uncle is a general contractor. he is rad and i like him alot but holy crap. i still dread the process.
DREAD IT!
and on the bright side. i have bunko here in June. i won't be horrified to have people over. IF the house is redone. i SHOULD be thrilled! i SHOULD be super excited and willing to do anything i have to , to get it done. and make it nice asap. I should get off the computer and go finish hauling dirty clothes. or sort them or pick them up and put them in something right? yeah i better get on that.
blogging? may not happen. my computer is in the war zone. this MAY put a huge damper on the wonder of my blog for the next little bit. so FYI in advance. just KNOW that i am dying to sit and post and comment all day long but it probably won't be about what i want. it almost never is.
hope you have a fabulous Monday!

BUNKO!!! we really could be real life friends. i love bunko!
i know exactly what you are feeling right now. i am WAY jealous of the fact that YOUR floor is actually going in though. we tore mine out last AUGUST and it is STILL nasty. 3 layers of gross linoleum and another who knows how many layers to go. oh and i can't forget the BARE concrete (slab, like that makes it sound better) in my hallway. UGH!
so yea i feel ya.
you need to find time to blog, i will miss you too much. but i understand that life gets in the way!
I think it's SO exciting you are getting your floors done! I LOVE it! But I hate the cleaning part too, so I understand, girl. I do. We will miss all your blitching, but we will be here when ya get back.
I'm sure it will be so worth it when it's done, and you will be delirious. At least it's supposed to be a little bit cooler this week for you to hang out at the park or zoo or whatever. My kids would be in heaven if we could eat out all week. But the not getting to the computer would be pretty hard. Good luck
How fun. Your house will look SO great. The mess not so fun. WE need to see before and after pics. Have a good one.
I am sure it will be crazy but it will be all worth it in the end!
OH mY, I was just catching up and realized I won!! I agree with home improvement it throws the whole routine off and stinks while it is happening but is always worth it in the end!!
No fun! But worth it when it's done. You guys are welcome to come and hang out with me!
My makeup bow class is tomorrow at 9:30 am. Wanna come?
Good luck with the remodeling! I love that arch but I could see why you would change it!!
Just keep reminding yourself how wonderful it's going to look when it's done!
WHA-A-A-A-A-A-A-T??? I won't have my crazymama blog to read for a while??? Get yer butt to the LIBRARY and post from THERE! Don't you know how to prioritize what's important in life???
Have fun with the renovating, tho. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (i'm cackling b/c I've BEEN THERE...)
I'm so excited for you! I know it might seem over whelming but just think of the end! If you need a place to hang out you & the kiddos can always come hang out here. Or just more lunch dates! See you at Bunko!
Such a mess and disruption when it's happening, but so fun when it's done...it's just getting there...:)
You'll do it....just have the kids hang in the backyard...or at the zoo.
Hang in there. Think of the fun "after" shots and the blog post in the making!;)
OOOhhhh, jealous, I think the remodel sounds fabulous. What are you going to do with the arch? I know it is a pain in the butt now, but just transport yourself ahead a few days, you will be so happy you did it! Good luck this week! I will be sad if you don't blog, but I guess I will live ;]
♥ I can't wait to see the after pictures! I'm all about the dreading part too. I need to paint the whole inside of our house and I'm putting it offfffff! I need to repain doors too... For when we sell the place. However the longer I put it off the less crayon/pencil/pen marks I'll have to scrub off later! or maybe that's just an excuse! :)
i think it would be fun to have a remodel done... but i would have a hard time with the mess. by the way thank you for the help with the blog.
First of all, YAY for new floors and new walls!! I'm excited for you!! Hopefully it will all go fast and you will have a fabulous RAD new house to show off in time for Bunko night.
Secondly, I'm with Crystal. Prioritize woman and get to the library and post some stuff for me to read!!!
I hate having my house in shambles, it puts me in such a bad mood so I really feel for you. The end result will be worth it:) dont forget to show us pictures.
Good luck! I know what you mean, I really LOVE doing fun new things to the house, but I've done it so much (we've moved ALOT) that with this house I've done next to nothing. got burnt our I guess!
Have fun, & can't wait to see the after pictures!!
lucky!
That is exciting...but I can understand the aniexty and stress that comes with it!!! I too have this arch in our house that I have HATED since we bought it and would love to tear it out...so if his uncle gets bored, send him our way!!!
I hope it goes quickly!! You'll be glad when it's done, but I'll miss marveling at your blog if you disappear for a few days...can't wait to see the after photos!!
Ya, its no fun having your house torn apart and figuring out what you are going to do to entertain kids to keep them out of the way and the dust that accumulate in every room. We are in the middle of remodeling our master bathroom and its been 2 weeks now and its still not done. Very frustrating but very well worth it. So hang in there and just keep thinking about how great it will be when it is all done. Thank goodness for BLITCHING!!!That will relieve some frustrations!!!!
Just think of how fabulous the house will look after all the crap is done!
I hope you take pics to document the progress! I love that kind of stuff!
Once it's done you'll be glad you did it. Just keep repeating that until you believe it :)
SOOOOO exciting to get this done, I hear you on the borrowing...boy do I hear you!!
And I am going to be so sad if you aren't able to blog. I look to you for entertainment throughout my day!! But I understand...and at least I get to meet you for lunch on Wednesday!!!
I hear ya. I fret over stuff all the time. This week my husband says "you have always been a stresser haven't you?" I said no "No I am way mello and you are way slow!" LOL It's not the borrowing that is so bad its the paying back. But it will be so nice to not fret having people over.
With our new move I can actually open the door and say "come on in" haven't felt good about doing that in years. We have been living in a mold ridden house for the past 2 years that was old stinky and crowded where the front door opened right into the kids messes. I love having somwhere that I can actually open the door too. LOL It will be worth it!! We will miss your posts though!!!
oh stop complaining :-) I would KILL for someone to come do our floors - KILL I tell ya! you are a lucky girl! (keep telling yourself that through all the mess)
Our first house was a HUD home and we gutted and tore that thing apart. It was a nightmare and we didn't even have kids at the time. SO GOOD LUCK. Hang out at other's houses. Tell them you'll buy pizza if you and your kiddos can hang there.
I'm envious though! I'm sure I would dread the process as well, but I'd love to have my own house to freely do anything to that I so felt the desire to. Unfortunately for now, we're renters. It states in the contract that we can not make any improvements or do any painting. Which really sucks because the paint in the den is a seafoam green. Fortunately no peach, but still...the green is GAH!
Good luck! Can't wait to see pics. Will there be "before" & "after"???
