great class,excellent day.

so yeah the class went great both times. and everybody's bows turned out fabulously. even if they think they didn't . i didn't see one stupid looking bow. either i have fabulous teaching skills OR my method is fool proof. OR the people here had amazing skills they were unaware of. either way. I'm glad it's over and people were happy. did you try your tutorial? if you do email me or post pictures on your blog. i wanna see! so fun.

so i didn't sleep at all last night. and finally went to bed after the morning class. at 12:30 and napped until 3:40 when i got up to take Joy to singing group. i dropped her off, (Libby stayed home with the flu today so i wouldn't let her go to singing) and went to a little antique shop close by. i had 40 minutes to wander around. they had tons of fabulous vintage glass. i love love antique milk glass (it's white) and hobnail glass which looks like raised dots all over. love it. i bought an antique milk glass hobnail footed bowl (candy dish) so freaking cute. love love it. and it was totally reasonably priced. i have a little collection of milk glass, so i was thrilled to find more. they had tons of other fabulous pieces. if only i had money to waste spend on fabulous treasures. because if i did i would. but only truly fabulous ones. my birthday is coming up though. HMMM there's a thought.

OH huge thanks is due to my sister Janie, for helping with the photos on my tutorial , AND for coming and helping me get last minute stuff done before the class and helping with it, she helped that late comers get started. and helped with the hot gluing part.
so thanks Jane you rock!
and thansk mom for watching the babies for us. so we could have our hands free to make bows.

And my main floor of the house is miraculously uncluttered. NO BOXES in the corner, no crazy rocking bench in the corner (i moved it to the front porch). yeah and guess what! without the clutter of the boxes. and what not, the dining room in my house ECHOES who knew clutter had fabulous noise dampening effects. like acoustical tiles it absorbed noise. ahHA! good reason to have a cluttered house, less annoying echoes. i can rationalize anything, haven't i told you that before?

glad it's over. yay for that. and yeah the clean house is a definite perk. whoohoo! I'll see how long it lasts.

Hooray! I am totally going to make some bows, but I need to go get some ribbon first....

I am totally jealous about the ribbon store....I need one of those. If I ever make it down there, I'm emailing you for the location!

Where is the cute antique shop? My sis is always looking for fun like that....

Got to love an echoing house with a bunch of kiddos running around screaming...Especially when the cousins are over..

You did a great job teaching and they DID all look fabulous! You didn't even need me, but it does help to have an extra pair of hands. I'd love to have some help when I teach mine at the end of the month (hint, hint) ;) It was fun to spend the morning with you.

What antique store did you go to? There used to be a fabulous one out here, but it closed.

Yay on the clean house!

I always love a clean house and do not mind clutter either. I have my special pile places. Yeah for the end of bow making classes. Glad it went well!

I bet I could have come up with a stupid looking bow. Sigh. Just not one of my talents. I'll just have to buy them from YOU!!

My mother in law has a bunch of hobnail in pink with milk glass on the bottom of each piece. If I could get away with it, I'd swipe some and send them your way. BUT, she likes them too much and would notice. Something about them being her grandmother's...:)

Glad the class went so well!!

Congrats on getting boxes out of the way!!! I know how horrible & tedious that job is. It took us forever!! Are you just loving the 'open space' feel? That's my fave part about getting clutter-less (can't say 'free' cuz I dont' think I'll ever NOT have a little bit of clutter). ha ha :)
