time for a little blitching...

so today is the big hair bow class day. yeah DREADING IT still. i got the crap yesterday. ribbons, clips, elastic for headbands. hot glue, fray check, wire. i thinks that's all i needed.

and then let me start with Lance and Peyton were gone all day on a field trip to the AZ Sonoran Dessert Museum. charted bus. good times. 3rd and 4th grade ELP(extended learning program-read nerdy kids) so Lance went , i packed far too much, and i failed to send the camera along. CRAP! it went well back by 5:45 pm. left a 6:30am. SO long day. k.

so they left while i was sleeping. i woke up late-ish and the kids then proceeded to have fits, and drag their feet at important things like putting pants on. and shoes. and since Lance was gone i had to get the babies dressed to drive the big kids. and they were NO SURPRISE late. fabulous. SORRY DARLA!(the school attendance person that lurks here sometimes, and the poor woman that has to write out late notes for my kids on a regular basis)
anyway. well as i was getting up. and going my morning tinkle. i broke the toilet. the handle broke yesterday. so Lance had the tank lid off. and i didn't recall how to rig it to flush. and i pulled up on the float.(imagine black ball thing in the tank). apparently that isn't how you rig it to flush. it did flush but also came clear out. in my hand. BROKEN. so i had to waste time shutting off the water at the valve in the wall. RAD.

so i told that long story. because yeah it tells you it was a great day. AND also why i had to go to Home Depot to get replacement parts for the toilet. a valve replacement and a new handle , why was this imperative today? people are coming over tomorrow(today really) to make some dang bows. so the toilet should work just in case someone needs to tinkle. right? RIGHT. so off to HOME depot i go where the service is the worst in the industry. i personally hate HOME DEPOT. i know my way around a hardware store, and i know HOME DEPOT well. since Lance worked there (it sucked so bad it pushed him to go to college even though we had 3.5 children at the time) and i know hardware since i worked at Payless Cashways (the hardware store) for a year at the end of high school and afterward. so i know my stuff. which is good since i was buying drywall to patch that hole i knocked in the front room that one day i was peeved and slammed the front door open and knocked a rather large hole behind my front door. i know enough to get spray texture, a taping knife and drywall tape. AND that we were in need of drill bits. and drywall screws and an extension cord. and yeah toilet parts . i bought some stuff. came home and Lance was too tired to patch the wall dang. dude it's 2am i tend to ramble.

anyway. i get home at 10 pm, and still have to clean. and I'm talking the after effects of the birds. that i hate. so I'm, scrubbing down the bird shiest. and F-ing little bird crapped on my shirt. LIVID! so yeah hate them, and it's all i could do not to suck them up with my cyclone technology dyson and the handy attached hose thingy. UGH! i didn't but man i was thinking that would solve alot of the problem.

OK and little cleaning tip time.

if you have nasty floor stains.(from bird shiest OR other things, vomit, spit up ,spilled milk,) YOU need to get FOLEX! i tell ya it works wonders. that little shiest circle under the f-ing bird cage is GONE! with limited effort on my part. i would have taken a before picture but i have way too much pride to show you how nasty it happened to be. (i was waiting for Lance to take care of it. they are his birds and his mess, he said he'd clean but somehow it was left to me.) HATE THE BIRDS! BUT LOVE LOVE LOVE FOLEX! they have it everywhere, home depot has it by the gallon for 15 bucks in the flooring section. target and walmart have it with the cleaning products in a convenient spray bottle for 5 bucks. go get some you need it. i swear. oh and it's enzyme based so it doesn't leave soap residue that later attracts dirt. one of the perks of having a retired flooring expert for a hubby. (he did flooring for 14 years, we had our own business before he worked at home depot as the department head in the flooring department) thank heavens he went to school finally and is smart enough to have his current degree and job.) and him working from home is a major perk. too bad he doesn't take care of his damn birds. hate them.

have i mentioned i hate the birds? yeah i do. oh and there are 8 eggs in the nest. yeah more coming soon. Lance wants to build an aviary. sure just get them out of the house.

so Christmas is down in the front room. and the boxes are gone from the dining room too. NICE.

other cleaning tips? white vinegar and water.(i call it douche) in a spray bottle . excellent, cheap glass cleaner, AND good for mopping too. streak free. squeaky clean. yeah the kids were watching me do windows the other day. and they heard the squeak and had to ask where that sound came from. NICE. really because they asked if i "let one" no really, it was more like "MOM DID YOU FART?"and no, it was the window i swear. squeaky clean. try it. i do not love the smell of it. but it works. and what can i say? it does the job. light a candle and avoid the vinegar smell. i learned this trick from my magical time working at DQ. yeah they cleaned the machines with (as they referred to it) Douche. white vinegar and water. i add a glug, glug worth in my spray bottle and fill the rest with water. scientific recipe eh?

and i listened to Regina Spektor again while cleaning. love it. nice light , sing along music. love it. not too heavy or loud considering it is 2:30 am and the family is asleep, and i'm vacuuming, and whatnot.

OOOLahlah got an award. from HolleeAnn at Vasquez 3.
love it.she said she loves my blog. that makes me feel super rad. and i ♥that!
and i'm passing along this goodie now ! i love ya'll and want to share the blog award love. snag it. thanks for being a reader or a friend. or both!

and this one she gave to all her blog roll peeps.

so I'm doing that too. for all my blog friends that post daily that almost always get a comment from me. you deserve it. snag it you know you want to. thanks for being my daily dose of laughter and tears. my break from reality. and my entertainment.

busy morning. oh and one last blitch session?
while cleaning the uber nasty bird shiest area. the window blinds that cover the nasty window facing the dog room(read extra crap/enclosed patio fridge area/storage space) FELL OUT OF THE WINDOW AREA. dang it. so i debate whether i should hit walmart now? or make Lance go in the AM TO HOME DEPOT? he could probably reinstall the same old ones , but they have shiest and bird food stuff on them
definite dilemma.

OH and I'm doing 2 classes worth of bow class AM and PM, and everyone is coming in the morning. only one person is coming in the evening. that should be fun. and way easier than the morning class. i'll be glad to get it over with. seriously .

so i feel better now how 'bout you? this blitching is an excellent stress reliever for me.
catch you after the first session.
maybe.

Love Folex! We live on that stuff here. We had our enrichment bow making class at my house yesterday. You're nice to teach two! And awesome that you can buy all the stuff to fix a hole in the wall plus the potty. Maybe that should be your next enrichment class.

Holy Sheist!! YOU got alot done today!! Uber Impressed. I am in love with Folex too, it took out 99% of the RED KOOLAID stain in my front room carpet. It is all I use now. Good luck with the classes this morning! They will go great!

Oh I'm laughing. What a fabulous day! That is one perk about being sick, everyone runs my lame errands for me. I love all your posts on my blog because I know you can relate to what I'm going through. How did you survive? We're actually doing good. Now my mom and sisters may have different stories to tell. I think I'm killing them off! Like for instance, Ange had her three kids plus my three kids yesterday, and then my Brigg pushed her Grant off the play structure at the park and Grant repeatedly blacked out and wouldn't wake up and they had to call 911, and she made me dinner on top of that. Hopefully she's still speaking to me! =)

HOLY MOLY! You never quit - even in the wee hours of the morning. What happened with the blinds? You can get faux white wood - nice looking and cheap - at Wal-mart. Should've called. I was there til 2am last night. :)

I don't know how you do it! Nothing worse than a broken toilet. I hate birds too. Love the blitching session!

♥ Sounds like a long day! I don't think I could handle the birds either! That sucks about the toilet! My kids like to flush all kinds of things down the toilet so we're constantly snaking it! Drives me looney!

Your too sweet and not blitchy at all! And I am going to try that hair bow--- hopefully. If I can get it down you'll be seeing it on one of my tutorials. Okay?

FANTABULOUS!!! I love these posts. You are so funny~ I don't think I'd be that funny if I was cleaning bird sheist.
(They didn't teach me that in my two years of German in HS. Why not???)

I hate Home Creepo too! Do you have a Lowes there? They opened a Lowes where I live in Texas right across the highway from the Home Creepo. I am a creature of habit so I kept going to the Home Creepo. Finally I went to Lowes just once and have NEVER gone back to the creepo! People kept asking ME if I needed any help versus looking in vain for some one who did not say "that is not my department"!

My son just started working there last year. They train for customer service and stress, stress, stress it.

They have secret shoppers and they pay employees cash on the spot for taking care of the secret shoppers properly!

If you have one check it out!

I ALWAYS use Vinegar and water as my floor cleaner. Our house smells like salad for a while, but after it dries the smell goes away.
