I'm glad your mom's replacement went well...
Don't beat yourself up too much about an unmopped floor or new walls and floors looking shabby. It's hard to keep things nice esp. when there are young kids involved! I loved having DI furniture, becuase I didn't stress over if the kids were eating on the couch or rough housing on it. Since we bought our new furniture I'm always on edge trying to keep them looking nice. I really get tired of it...wish I had my crappy sofa back for that reason!
