was it a party ...or mom's hip replacement? just a really fun Hip replacement!
my mom got her hip replaced today. the surgery went great. my sisters Vicki and Janie took her to the hospital today. and hung out all day. they apparently had a FABULOUS time. I'd wanted to go but swim lessons got in the way. but i went after that when the kids went down for naps , and relaxed, before the big kids got home. i got there a little bit before she was out of recovery. it was quite the party. here we are in the family waiting room, making jokes ,and laughing, having a fabulous time. because that is how we are. FUN! when we went out to the car we posed with the statue of the Caduceus, the pictures must not have been flattering because Janie didn't post them. we posed for a picture when the aide came in. she was supposed to be checking vitals and we are asking for a photo op, as we cackle about one thing or another. see doesn't mom look fab! she was doing pretty well. the pain wasn't great. in fact it sucked but she was in good spirits. we kept her distracted. and she seemed to be doing even better than when she had her hysterectomy. she thought it was worse but maybe she was just excited to hopefully get rid of the pain, from her arthritic hip. anyway here is the picture apparently i should have made the effort to put makeup on today. i should print this for a reminder to myself. see my dark circles? pretty. my sunglasses hide those, now you know why i wear them in pictures.
funnier still were the looks we got as we walked together in a line, talk about a double take from EVERYONE. we are obviously sisters. and people from the waiting room, had to stop us and chat later while getting beverages in the Cafeteria telling us not to have too much fun. and wondering what we were having so much fun talking about. and shhhh, i was talking about boogers, and another sister was burping and blowing it. HA! we are adults, and yeah i get that i should just accept the conversations that my girls have, they are SO MUCH LIKE ME!
really so fun! and I'm so glad i got to go hang out. THANKS LANCE for holding down the fort so i could go be with mom!
turns out that the morphine doesn't work as well for her as Percocet does. good to know. i left the hospital at 10:30.
and extra fun. Sister Stewart (Ali, and Jessica's) came by today and brought me a dozen Krispy Kreme, and then i she came to visit mom in her room on her way to work! SO FUN! LOVE HER TONS!

Your mom looks great!
Hope she is feeling better soon. You guys sound like you were having tons of fun. Laughter is the best medicine, but Percocet would be alot of fun too!!!!:)
glad the surgery went well. hope she gets to come home soon.
you guys are all so cute!! you can thank me for keeping Janie up late chatting...i am sure that made her EXTRA punchy...woo hoo!!
glad to hear your mom is doing well!! yay for drugs that work
Glad she's doing ok. You were probably the only ones laughing and having fun at the hospital.
I hope her recovery is fast and pain free and percocet.
I can photoshop your dark circles?
But I think the picture is really cute!
Love your necklace.
Your mom looks great for just having surgery. What a woman!
Don't worry about the no make-up..I do it unintentionally all the time. Like after I get ready for the day, later on I'll look in the mirror and realize I never got to the make-up part....doh! :)
Love the necklace, very cute.
I am glad your mom's surgery went well. You are lucky to have wonderful sisters to laugh and have fun with! I hope her recovery goes smoothly.
I'm so glad that things went well. Your mom is so wonderful, she deserves to be pain free!!
LOVE that you girls were having a good time, I"m sure your mom wouldn't have it any other way!!
HUGS to your mama!!
(And did Janie cut her hair?? SO cute!!)
Wow, if I have surgery can you and your sisters come and visit me, too!
I'm glad that you were able to make it down there to join the party! It's never the same without you!
you do look so much like your mom and sisters! Glad the surgery went well and she is doing better. Have a great day!
Cute! Laughter is the best medicine!
You certainly are THE person to make a hip replacement fun! And your mom....SHE LOOKS AMAZING! I don't look that good after giving birth....let alone a surgery! What a great woman! Glad it was good times and not a horrible experience. Hope things get moving along quickly for her! :)
glad the surgery went well and I hope her recovery isn't too bad. You guys look like a fun family :)
Please- you could have fun ANYWHERE!!! I'm glad your mom is doing well. Did she like her scar? That's the best part - an 11 1/2 inch scar! Yipee - I've got two. Morphine didn't work for me either so tell her not to worry! Hope you have a great day and I think you are gorgeous even with no makeup!
Everyone looks zexy next to that nasty pink orange wall. How lucky that your mom has you to relax the atmosphere.
Laughter really is the best medicine.
(Really percocet over morphine?!?!)
Glad your mom is doing well. She looks great and so do you! I only wear make-up to church, on dates with my hubby, and relief society or girly functions. Who wants to put on make-up to clean your house? There is no point!
PS Love the necklace!
Glad your Mom is doing good! I hope her recovery is quick! I love your necklace too!!!
I hope the surgery goes well and the recovery is okay. I think it's so cute that you guys all look alike.
I've missed you. I need to get caught up on everyone's blogs, as I've been out of it for a few weeks! Ack!
♡ She looks great! I'm so glad that the surgery went well!
Your mom looks way too good for just having a hip replaced. Fabulous. You and your sisters are HOTTIES. That's why everyone did double takes, duh.
Glad the surgery went well. Hope everything else goes smoothly too!
