joy ful thoughts

as the kids have been trying to track down and find a homeless kitten today.

they've been running up and down the street , into neighbors yards, looking under bushes hunting for it. chasing it and yet it always gets away.

i've heard it over and over plaintively mewing in unknown hidden areas outside around the house.

after about an hour of hunting the kids came in, getting supplies for when they do catch it.

baby blankets. and a box. a pillow and some food to tide them over during the hunt.

of course being the impatient mother that i am humored them for the last hour but at the prospect of a dirty homeless kitten perched on a bed pillow? i said "give it up"

joy immediately said,"we'll find it! WE BELIEVE in OURSELVES! we can do it!"

they have another 15 minutes until we have to leave for singing group. then the hunt will have to wait. good thing i just remembered we have that today.

i'll be sure to let you know if they succeed, i have a feeling if they do, we'll gain a pet.
