one sick puppy! and other more exciting info.

well. this morning i was rudely awakened to 2 boys excited about their playdate with cousins and telling me to get my butt out of bed, they wanted to go. it was 9:00 am.

i rolled out just as there was a puppy emergency with our last puppy.

Bailey , the girl puppy was sick. weak, dehydrated etc.

So i spent the morning at the VET.which was interesting to say the least. a grizzly old man was the Vet. after he took a stool sample for the Parvo test he actually SNIFFED IT! GAG! are you kidding me? my mom and I were dying. the test came back negative.

and well, we are nursing bailey, and hoping she pulls through. nursing the puppy involves giving her a syringe of pediatlyte every hour, and extra special food supplements. plus antibiotics.

SERIOUSLY? i don't normally hold the puppies, much less Dr. them and nurse them back to health. OY.

so that was this morning.

the rest of the day was spent leisurely doing dishes, and supervising Pierce and keeping the puppy hydrated.

the boys were at my sisters, and the girls were with my mother in law.

this evening we went to barro's with my fave brother's family.

then we made the trek out to Lance's sister's house to pick up a new bed for Pierce. she bought it at a garage sale on Saturday and decided she didn't want it. so we bought it off her. but the hour and a half round trip drive wore the kids out.

so really pretty good day considering it didn't start out very well.

Bailey is doing much better already she's more alert and eating and drinking on her own. YAY!

happy St. Patricks day.

we have fun plans for a cousin playdate at the park, and tonight we are hitting the drive in. WHOOHOO!
