new pet plans revealed.
have you been wondering about the mystery pet we are getting?
the one i voted against getting?
you are dying to know right?
i know you are. someone guessed correctly .
it was an anonymous commenter. so i have no clue who. but they guessed right.
it's a RAT! more like 2 female rats. female because i can't be having their hairy balls on my hand, or them dribblin' pee all over. yeah can't hack that!
yup. 2 rats.
not sure of colors yet, or type. but rats.
YUP!
are you jealous?
apparently they are fabulous loving, clean pets. that are very intelligent and fun.
at least that is what these people tell me. (these people meaning the hubster and the hoodlums)
yeah. lucky me!
actually at one point in my younger , more adventurous days, my science teacher in CA had a pet rat. and i would sit and hold it. and probably kissed it knowing me, since i kissed a snake more than once, and who knows how many other random undeserving things, i mean guys that i kissed.
no really once i kissed a snake or two. the reptile not just slithery guys.
oh and i forgot to list hermit crabs in my tally of past pets. they get stinky. and die. especially when you forget to feed them.
anyway. now you know our new pet we are supposedly getting soon.honestly, i'm dragging my feet as long as i can on it.
admit it. I AM THE NICEST MOM EVER! or the craziest.

♥ My dad brought 2 rats home for pets once. My sister's thought they were great I was a little creaped out by them... Especially their tails... My sisters used to let them crawl around their necks and stuff. Gives me the creapy crawlies... :)
I have no response to this. You are pretty nice. Make sure and name them so they can really feel like part of the fam!
You are super nice. And RAD.
I can't do rats. I can barely handle our lizard and I never see him. I am the crummiest pet mommy EVER.
i've herad they make good pets...we are so pet free around here.
Rats??
Connor would probably be jealous. He wants as many pets as he can get. So far we're sticking with dogs and fish. Well, as soon as we go buy more fish to replace the ones that died.
Hey! I was the anonymous commenter. I lurk...I may have commented before. I think I've e-mailed you about your vinyl friend before. Anyway, wow, I was right. A rat! I could never. Show us some pics!
Cassidy has brought the class rats home twice and will no more! They STINK!!!! In fact last night I walked into her room and it still smelled like the rats and it's been months since they were here. And...her room is clean and has been majorly cleaned many times since. The oder lingers. in fact one time I walked into her room with the rats- gagged and walked right back out. I am not a fan. Sorry about that. Oh and they have a short life - they get tumors and die then your kids are heart broken for their dead rat. I know I am being blunt and it's only so you can have an out if you need it for the hubby. If you're into it then, whoo-hoo! I'm so happy for you!!! (wink-grin-smile)
This is exactly why we went for hamsters (which we don't have anymore since they have died already, apparently they only live about 2 years) instead of rats, no tails and no balls hanging down. Gross! Lucky you!!!
EW EW EW EWWWWWWW!!!!
I am so grossing out. I am also anti-pets right now. So that could have alot to do with it. :)
We had a pet rat for Kindyl, and loved it. First we did a lot of research to decide the best small pet. And rats are apparently the cleanest, smartest, and least likely to bite your children. Kindyl used to hang out around the house with it perched on her shoulder. Her name was Lilly, and she was very pretty for a rat. When she got out of her cage, she would only go to Kindyl. She knew she was her master and trusted her. Good times. Way easier than our stupid dog.
