raw Chicken at Chili's and Star Trek. My Hot Date Night
tonight the HUBTASTIC and I doubled on a date with my Fave brother and his wife(forever known from here on out as ASQUARED),
baby Easton came too! at 2 weeks he is a DOLL, he's so stinking cute. i love newborns. and he did not disappoint! i got to hold him for a good long time. (yup i sniffed his sweet baby head)
anyway. they picked us up and we hit Chili's ,
i ordered the Margarita chicken, and it was darn fabulous until i got towards the middle , i took a bite, and it was RAW.
blech, hcktuu, GAG!
i spit it out, it hit my plate then i looked , and THE CHICKEN BREAST WAS RAW IN THE MIDDLE! not just a little raw but SUPER RAW!
GAG!
i apologize to any that might have seen me spit that sucker out.
There was not time, it was just onto the plate, no time for a napkin and a demure removal of raw meat. not unless you wanted to see me PUKE.
i gag thinking about it. i am not all that into meat. i fear raw meat, i don't prepare it, i don't touch it, i don't eat it all that often. i could probably do without meat. (except on the rare occaisions i crave protien, which i do sometimes , but rarely) anyway. meat is not my fave thing.
normally chicken that is moist kind of grosses me out. i like it overcooked and dry, so i know it's done.
and this is why. EWWWW! shiver with disgust.
I seriously wanna chuck right about now.
sorry if you do too. didn't mean to make anyone QUEASY!
the waiter was nice. he brought me a piece of cheesecake to make up for my lack of dinner entree, because there was NO WAY IN HELL I was eating more chicken tonight.
even if they cooked it more, or brought me something else. it might be awhile before i eat there again.
gag. ewww grody. yucky! UGH!
anyway we finished , and went to our movie and we saw.....STAR TREK!
(Asquared hadn't seen it yet) Alicia was unsure on going, she is not a guy movie kinda gal and neither am I , but i knew it was good. and she trusts me, we are movie friends.
yes this WAS my 2nd time! i loved it again. i even liked it more.
which out of all the movies i've seen recently this was my fave by far. (recently i've seen Wolverine, Ghosts of Girlfriends past, 17 again... i can't recall more but there have been so yeah i've seen a bunch, and this beat them all)
the eye candy was delicious. YUMMY!
it was a delightful evening . (with the exception of the raw factor and even that was just a minor bump until i start thinking about it.)
Asquared is seriously my fave couple to go out with on a double date.
I LOVED STAR TREK (seriously i liked it even better the 2nd time around)
so yeah hot date. Star Trek was RAD! Great Friday night.
it even came down between Star trek (which we'd already seen) and Angels and Demons which just came out (i'm not dying to see it and probably won't ) and we picked Star Trek.
i liked it that much.
well have a fabulous Saturday.
i'll be doing the same crap as everyday. yay me.

Woah on the parallel lives...
We didn't double, but my hubby and I went to dinner. We didn't eat raw meat, but went to a Benihana-type restaurant and watched them cook our raw meat and then went to Star Trek. I'm with you completely. I'm not a guy-going movie kind of girl, but I chose it for my hubby. I, too, really, really liked it.
I am with you on the chicken thing, I don't trust people to bbq chicken for me, for fear that they will undercook, I usually only eat it if I cook it myself.
We saw angels and demons last night, it was really good, it had a good twist. I still want to see star trek, Cody is going with his brother so I guess I will have to go see it without him (the original plan was to see it together).
We saw Star Trek yesterday too, with the boys. We all loved it!
I'm getting sick of chicken but not for the reason you mentioned but because on this diet I eat it almost every freakin' day!!!
♥ It sounds like a great double date, minus the nasty chicken! :)
i want to see that!!!
did you get your meals for free...cause this is cause for some serious freebies?!?
(GAG) You are (GAG) dating so much (GAG) these days...lucky girl!
(I am sick over your chicken. Bummer.)
Oh that chicken sounds nasty! But glad it didn't ruin the whole evening! YAY you got to hang out with A2 and their sweet baby!
I liked that movie too. {I totally made fun of a guy I dated because he was a trekkie, yep to his face - now I'm out watching the dang movie! HAHAHAA}
