two odd things about me and mine.
once in awhile i realize we are odd.meaning : me, my kids, the whole family.
i consider us odd but how do we compare to you and yours?
ME:
- if i eat a chicken pot pie, i pick around the chicken and don't eat any. i'm all about the veggies, creamy sauce, and flakey crust. if the kids come beg a bite? they get chicken.
- my kids scarf down the raisin bran, BEFORE the sugar cereal. raisin bran is gone in a day here. the captain crunch goes last. WHAT IS THAT ABOUT?
If you buy cereal , what kind? what goes first? how long does it last?
eh? what's that? i can't hear you!
Speak up! (comment with your oddities and preferences)
I'm dying to know.
i have tons of stuff i need to get to.
making some jewelry,
buying or crafting gifts,
purging and cleaning, Ah the cleaning!
but then that is always there, it's never ending.
oh and the pot pie realization came about because pierce has been in the freezer opening up Marie calendars pot pies.

We too are odd, in too many ways to count, lol.
I buy cheerios, kix and other "healthy" (that's what we call it) cereals for school days, weekends are free for all cinn toast crunch, trix, capn crunch, whatever is on sale. We only have hot breakfasts for dinner because David and I are the only ones that eat it. Exception: pancakes, these are usually reserved for sunday mornings when we have late church and I have time to actually make them, but they could also be dinner too.
My kids prefer honey nut cheerios, but like Cap'n Crunch a lot as well. I am in to oatmeal right now, but I kind of go in phases and expect that will change at some point.
My favorite part of a pot-pie is the golden (almost burnt!) crust. If I make these for my kids, I always take pieces of their crust. Don't really care for anything else about it!
My kids like the sugary cereals but also the good for you ones. i guess it depends on their mood. Today it was good for you cereal... Eliza loves cherrios she'd have them everything if she could... :)
as far as the chicken pot pie.. i eat only the chicken and pie and sauce
cereal my kids enjoy fruity pebbles a great deal
I have never given my kids a pot pie, I don't know why either.
My kids prefer rice crispies, I don't know why with that one either, I can't imagine it's very filling but they like it none the less.
