ahhhh, the delights of a mothers summer! what a freaking nightmare!
we are having military style cleaning time! they line up, i yell, we clean one room, and move to the next. it is rest room/ drink break time, for 5 minutes! then we start again! i am going to train these people to do their part, even if they didn't make the mess! because somewhere in this house they did and I'll have to help clean that up! so far we cleaned the little girls room, and most of my room, then we move down to the vortex downstairs! and i am training them how to clean the bathroom. and i think Liberty is at risk for loosing her own room! she kept a clean room before but i went down there today and holy spumoni! it was a pit! the only room i decorated and did anything for and i have to admit i was livid! so no fun, no TV, no computer for the kids! niothing until the house is overhauled, and that means no clothes or trash on the floor, clean bathroom x3, and the carpet vacuumed !

movie fun was ok, but it was great to meet another blogger in person, Sheri! and see miss party of 5 again!

You are HILAROUS! I don't even know you in person but I could totally see you drilling your kids as they clean--only because I do the same thing! Love it though and it makes for a clean house! :)

Julie, your blog is so fun to read! My kids are in charge of their rooms, the gameroom, and their bathrooms; all of which are upstairs. Needless to say, I don't enjoy going up there very often.

I get like too! It is so good for kiddos to do their part and agree with you about cleaning even if they didn't do it! I hate when my kids say "but I didn't do it!" I was just talking with a friend about some moms who do everything for their kids.

Ha Ha - That's so funny! Have you ever heard of FlyLady? Her tip is that as you clean you have a big garbage bag too - because you can't organize clutter! You don't have to throw away, just give your stuff to DI. I love the family cleaning time too - we've done some of that this week too! Have fun!

Okay, I wasn't going to reply I was just going to catch up on some of the news from the Jules. Anyway, because Flylady was mentioned I felt I had to reply.

First off, I love military style cleaning. I don't have to do it often, but when I do the 'drill sargent' comes out to 'play'. There are many ways to use this style. It can even be fun, but generally it is because the children don't need the rod spared anymore.

Second, about Flylady. I have looked at her, done what she suggests, and totally felt overwhelmed MORE. I like some of her ideas, I incorporate some of what she has to say. Although now I don't feel I have to take everything she says to heart. I use what I can. Anyway, have fun with whatever you do decide. I'm still laughing at you being a drill sargent!!
