Joy's Kindergarten adventures!

this last week JOY started Kindergarten! and it went better than i thought it ever would. and these are the best comments i got from her about school.

Monday: she was spouting off the phrase "hands behind hips, ZIP your lips "then saying, "and then we walk ". doing it and showing me how her teacher was training them to walk in line! really cute! going on about the two lines for the boys and the girls.

Tuesday: she had time-out for ? ......her answer? "being in the wrong spot" . in reality?she was in the boys bathroom! she glossed over the truth! how does she know how to do that? she is 5~! i found out from my friend Andrea who was informed by her daughter Ashley. aka Joy's new best friend/partner in crime! good times and i heard that through Shar, who heard from Andrea , who'd heard from Ashley, who'd witnessed the bathroom incident, and who had gone to time out the day before for it. it was a NICE CIRCLE . so embarrassing.


Wednesday : while i am doing her hair in the morning: "Mom, there is a boy in my class, he thinks i am cute and he wants to be my boyfriend, and he keeps following me and trying to KISS me! EWWWWW! that is so gross! " ((smile)) so glad she thinks it is ewww, last month she was dreaming about Corbin and Cooper . now boys are ewww? or maybe just that boy. maybe he can't compete with her crush on them. who knows! I'd rather boys were eww for a little longer.

Wednesday in the afternoon : clap, clap, clap-clap, clap. and then she says "we are listen-ing! "clap, clap, clap-clap, clap. "WE ARE listen-ing! "repeating the clap sequence and then the cheer. over and over! she had all the others doing it too! silly kids following the little sister! this might have to be video'd , it is too funny how she loves to learn this new stuff. and is so serious about it!

Thursday :Paxton was practicing his spelling words, one happens to be FAT. F-A-T. I guess Joy learned it too and i heard Joy telling Paxton about it in her class . and apparently she told her teacher upon hearing that word. " my mom doesn't like the word FAT! " gee i wonder why? when she told grandma about it, she said "yeah, my teacher doesn't have a problem with the word Fat, but my mom hates it. one time Peyton said mom has a fat butt! " yup! fat is not my fave word. and neither is being called big. "you are a big girl" ( generally meaning tall but Big to me means fat!) so don't call me big. tall is OK but call me big and you will be in my "LIST"and that isn't my fave friend list if you catch my drift!

I can't wait for more of JOY'S kindergarten adventures! stay tuned, this might become a weekly post. maybe I'll get lucky an have nothing to post. maybe!
