Random Thoughts, minor stress

  • Liberty has been complaining about her armpit hurting, i ignored her for a day or two, Lance gave her ibuprofen. then upon inspection, i think her lymph nodes are swollen, and they hurt if i touch them. yesterday she came and told me her groin hurts, right where the lymph nodes are. along the front of her leg panty lines. Red flag alarms going off. not good . swollen lymph nodes aren't good. I'll take her into the Dr. tomorrow! for sure! today she had a fever. and went home from church with my mom. **EDIT**( in my not-a-medical-professional-opinion I have to think it is Epstein-Barr Virus/mono , she had it (EBV markers) show up in past blood work when we where checking her thyroid for enlargement last year, and i think i have read somewhere it lies dormant in your body and can come back during times of stress. i might be wrong, but i am putting it out here so IF i am right i can prove that i guessed correctly! plus she has lot of the symptoms. including pain and swollen lymph nodes in her armpits(for over a week) , groin(started yesterday) and neck (she always has these), headache , reactive pain to light, sore throat, fever, fatigue, you can read up on it here. I'd rather have EBV, than lymphoma. AND since lymphoma has swollen lymph nodes but not pain, i'll assume it isn't the worst case scenario, and assume that isn't it. i will really call tomorrow and she is saying she will be good and cooperate for the blood draw that i assume will be ordered. if it isn't ordered i will demand it. since i think it is necessary. i do that. sometimes that's what it takes. some Dr's piddle around, i don't anymore.
  • in R.S. they announced that for playgroup they would be going to Tempe beach park splash playground, for the next few weeks. I casually informed the girl about my beach park Drama feeling like they should at least be aware of the risk there. she acted like they could watch for one guy, and i don't think it is one particular person, i think it happens on occasion by random people and they just need to keep an extra careful eye out. and i am aware it could happen anywhere, anytime. but if it is a risk i feel like it they should be informed. she said it never happened to her and she'd been there lots but she never had thought of it either. am i being fanatical about this? i had been there lots too! I've had family nights there, Joy's first birthday party, and play dates galore for over 5 years. and if i wasn't aware or into watching other people i probably wouldn't have noticed either. but i don't want strange people taking pictures of my kids and doing who knows what with the pictures! and at least i did my part letting her make her own informed decision.
  • for dinner we had pasta spaghetti and rotini, meat sauce (Prego brand and i add my own meat) and Alfredo(ragu) and salad, and french bread buttered, seasoned and toasted. delightful! my kids were in heaven and i loved it myself! i love pasta. and both sauces were from a jar! that is the kinda cook i am. still delightful! my Mom and Gary came for dinner after church. they came to church but she took Liberty home with them instead of staying for the block.
  • i got to take a great nap!
  • Lance got a calling, it was for him, not me! pretty great! it is something on the scouting committee. one meeting once a month. and maybe help with driving to big functions, that is it! fabulous! he had his meeting while i napped.
  • Hope cut the hair off one my little pony ! and the tail of another. Liberty will be peeved when it she finds out! i took a picture of liberty's reaction! she was sad but i thought it was funny. and of course she feels like i should replace her ponys. we'll see.
  • we hit the pop machines outside of Basha's to get soda, nobody had to work for us and the kids like picking their own cheap pop. we saw another totally mormon guy come up and buy some too. white shirt, g-lines. smart guy!

congrats on the calling for just lance. hope everything is ok with liberty. as far as the beach park stuff, i don't feel comfortable going back there and i think if it actually happened to one of those ladies they wouldn't go back either.

I hope your little girl ends up being okay! I too enjoy a good nap on sundays..there's just something about a sunday nap! I think you were right to give her the heads up on the splash park. I was greatful for the warning before we went, just as long as you keep an eye out for crazies! I do think it could happen anywhere though. Had I been in yourse and Lindsay's shoes..I can't say I would go back there either! Good luck at the doctor tomorrow!

I hope everything with Liberty is okay. I am impressed you know where the lymph nodes are located & all that medical stuff! I guess you've had a lot of experience there, but still I am impressed. :) Go with your mother's intuition because it is usually right! Your dinner sounds good, we had mac-n-cheese last night because I was too tired..
