Kindergarten Color Days!
tomorrow is purple day at kindergarten, good thing Joy has loads of clothes! in every color. she is wearing her purple shirt, and purple crocs and we just washed her purple miniskirt! i better get crackin' on a purple bow to match, since that is one i have thrown away!
i love color days!
I even bought my boys a purple polo back when Peyton was in kindergarten so he'd have something to wear for it. fruity i know , but so fun! and back then some kid made some lame comment to him about, why did he have to have the right color every day?! and made Peyton feel bad about it! LAME KID! I told Peyton it was because i loved him so much! and wanted him to be able to participate, even if it meant me buying rainbow stripped socks for rainbow day. and seriously every time i have a kindergarten kid, i whip out the rainbow socks for rainbow day! i think of them now as an investment, using the same pairs for 4 + kids! my friend, found them when we were cleaning and sorting my stuff, just before or after we moved and she wanted to throw them away! and i wigged because, HELLO! Joy is in kindergarten this year and needs those for rainbow day! DUH! Hope even found them and thought they were pretty fabulous! and wore them for fun one day! gosh i should hunt those down, rainbow day is later this week. yeah and they pretty much only get used for rainbow day or silly sock day but i feel like we have to participate to the fullest, especially when it means buying clothes! and now we can just float along and still participate because i was obsessed back with the first couple, now i don't even have to think about it except making sure they are clean.

Love color days. I am so glad you are so into getting your children ready for it. I have a purple striped Gymboree shirt for the boys. GOOD JOB!
My kids school does spirit days where they wear school colors but, I don't think they have color days! Sounds fun & you are an awesome mom to have lots of different fun things for them to wear.
T had color day in preschool. Not sure what C will do since this is our first kindergarten out here. But I'm like you, I like to have them participate in whatever, I think it's fun, and I hate when someone spoils their fun like that lame kid did. And I would've bought those purple shirts, too!
I think color days sounds great! My kids don't have that. They have spirit day, Sun's Day, crazy hair day, funny sock day, and P.J. day. The love dressing up for these fun days!
I am dying to see these rainbow socks!!! Sounds like fun.. When my kids are old enough, if they have color days or spirit days, I will help them participate.. I think it's fun, but if they don't want to, of course I won't make them.. But usually at that age, they feel so good when they participate!! :0)
That is so awesome. I have no idea if they do color days here but I guess I wil find out--I think it's great that you are so involved and get your kids involved too--makes life way fun! :) Such a cool mom you are!
I don't have any kids in school yet, but I would be so into the color days...I love that you bought a purple polo and rainbow socks...I totally would!!
We have had colors days in preschool. We love it and we are totally into it. Well, I am happy with their shirt being the color of the day. Everything else can be jeans and whatever. As long as it matches and looks cute. So maybe that doesn't equal being totally into it, but just into it. You are such a cute mom! I love that you are so involved with them. How sad if you didn't care and they didn't feel part of it.

I think it is fun that you guys participate! I always feel bad for my kids that I forget about things like that. SO way to go!!
Of Course we participate! Mom was so great about stuff like that, that I am compelled to go all out. Mom even dyed my hair black for Cinco de Mayo when I was in Third Grade - some kid in my primary class had to pull it because he insisted that it was a wig.
i love color days!!! sadly cooper did not have anything for purple day though, but on his transformer underwear there was purple so i told him he could tell his teacher that.
