Saturday is a special day!?
ok so today i could technically sleep in, the one and only day i can sleep in. this morning I woke up to............
6:12am
Joy opening the front door, she pushed the chair over close to the door, unlocked the top lock (picture cheap flap over style lock) and i hear water. " what? are you doing? hey kid! what are you doing?" i yell from my bed. she comes upstairs, one word, "rain". i roll back over and think good, at least it wasn't mop water spilling out from the industrial mop bucket! (that Lance left full of water when it was dinner time, and I forgot about until 6:12 and heard water!)
and i sleep until .........
7:55am
I wake up to hear Hope crying loudly! i can't tell why, so i had to get out of bed. yeah there was the standard fight over the computer this morning. She must have been playing, and Joy booted her off the laptop, and Liberty was on the desk top. all visible from the same room .
and since i am up," get up Liberty, it is my turn", says mom. told her it must have been her fault making Hope cry. and she didn't argue so the hierarchy continues down the line. but liberty was out, since that is why they had to move computers. and mom rules. duh! and now we have 5kids that fight over 2 computers, plus mom and dad. that isn't going to be cheap when we get a couple more to take care of the lack of them.
and the boys are gone for a Glorious spend the night with the super fun Grandma Joann, a Boys only spend the night. Last night , they went to Makutu's island. and I'm sure fun stuff will occur today too. Lucky boys.
and here i assumed out only computer addicts were the boys. I assumed wrong. freaking computer nerd genes! as I hear Joy printing a boobah at 8:05am.
yeah no good email, but i am sad i am not in bed still. Lance informed me it was his turn to sleep in today. and i thought Great!(said with huge amounts of sarcasm) i guess that is fair(sad), i will nap later. but with the rain, no mowing the Jungle in the back yard. and seriously, i was going to post an I spy the bikes contest, because there are many bikes out there you can't even see. except when i went out there there the other day , hoping he'd mow, i collected most of them our from under the grass.
- can't see your dog running in the back yard
- cant' find any bikes, they are all hidden nicely in the super long grass
- you can't see the hole in the yard and fall an extra 2 feet because of course that is the place you choose to wade in at.
- only half of the yard is toddler head high, or child chest high, depends on the kid.
- the other half is some amazing super fast growing weed assortment
- and oh even a tumbleweed, we must have brought that delight from our last glorious house!
- and then our super deluxe "wheel of death" the merry-go-round , you know the kind they outlawed at schools and parks back in the 80's ? fun nauseating deathtraps?? yeah we have one and it won't spin this month because of the weeds growing around it.
and yeah baby! no yard work today because as Joy explained so well,"rain"!

Funny coincidinces - my boys spent the night at Grammy's too, I need/want to go to Costco, and our lawn desperately needs mowing! And since it's raining today, and Luvpilot leaves for three days starting tomorrow, guess who's gonna get to do it?? Maybe it will dry out enough to get it done today. But I did sleep in until 7:30, which is sleeping in for me.
We love Costco churros!
I totally told each of my kids last night that they WERE NOT allowed to come talk to me until I was OUT OF BED this morning. Told them to watch TV and play with toys...I even made sure that the VCR was all set for Mr. T...And got to sleep in until 8:10 when Gigantor woke me up. But 8:10 was glorious!
Sorry that you didn't get to sleep in too!
Okay, this was my best day ever for blogging. You say it is light, well it was great for me. I read all of your past few blogs and got caught up with what is happening in your world and then was able to write. I am so excited that I posted on my own. I have accomplished a HUGE thing.
Also have to do a Costco run today, and tons more stuff that I just forgot. It left my wee little brain. Now I have to go find them. Have a GREAT day, especially since it 'rain'.
One last thing. My husband got up early with the first one awake, but fell right back to sleep and is still sleeping as I type. As is the teenager who marched in his first game last night and the team won. GO WESTWOOD!!
I am so jealous that you have the spinning merry-go-round thing. Tom and I were talking about that the other day. I thought it would be fun to get. I bet your kids LOVE it! It used to be my favorite! Happy Saturday!
Oh my kids were up bright and early this morning even after staying up till 11 last night..I was soooo annoyed! The girls woke up and decided to wake up Kaylie (my sister) and they all head off to Jaycie's room...where THE BABY is sleeping..so in the process of all of this..she wakes up 2 hour earlier than she normally would. I was also sooo pissed about this cause we had Jordan's b-day party @ 12...so there was already going to be no nap...AAAAAHHHHHHH Gotta love kids!! Sorry to ramble on..I just feel your pain with the getting woke up early... :)
my very sweet husband let me sleep til 9 then i was off to a hair appt. then i came home and went back to bed. and gotup at 7 just in time to figure out dinner and put caleb to bed. nice saturday
I did not not get to sleep in either. So frustrating on a Sat!!! I guess I should quit expecting it to happen and when it does be grateful. My husband works for Costco and the fun has not worn off. If I go I can find tons to spend money on. I usually just call him and give him the list. It saves us money!!
Your white trash list reminds me of my childhood backyard. It was so big and all we had we a push mower...not an eletric one but a steel thing with a circle of not so sharp blades. By the time our parents forced us to do it I would have to take the weed-eater to it so my brother could follow up with the push mower. How I don't miss being white trash!
