choking on pasta and my facebook analysis.

ok so just now i was checking out facebook more, which i have come to the conclusion it is a mix between yahoo messenger for the im-ing, and myspace with the whole check me out before you know me picture thing going and a blog if people feel so inclined to do that part of it, like adding fun quizzes, games, and maps and crap. SO i also think it isn't that useful if for 1.you aren't a professional, and 2. aren't single. unless 3. you JUST want to catch up with old friends from high school or college and then it becomes a WHOLE CLASSMATES HUNT. (REMEMBER CLASSMATES A COUPLE YEARS AGO? BUT THIS IS FREE. ) SO IT IS BETTER THAN CLASSMATES. because we all know free is the highlight of my life!

so back to what was happening. i was checking out facebook, drinking my standard 9 am Dr. pepper. and i got Pierce out some cold bow tie pasta to snack on. (he likes it, don't knock it) and he is shoving those in. well as i am holding him he starts coughing, the i'm gonna puke cough that some people get before they actually hurl, so i turn him so i can see , and he has 2 pastas in his mouth and is trying to shove another one in. and gagging himself! what the crap what happened to chewing? so I do the whole spit it out in my hand thing which generally is super nasty but he spit out those 2 partially chewed pastas whole, and i took away the bonus one in his hand. so it was the epitome of mom grossness but not as bad as other things. cold pasta is the same going in or out of your mouth chewed or not. i found out today. and then he tried to take back the pasta in my hand. yeah not happening. oh and i did figure out if i rip the bow tie in half and only give him one , he is more likely to chew and not choke. and i did feed him mini chocolate chip muffins and half a banana already. actually Lance did. hmmm. i gave him cold pasta, and sips of Dr. Pepper for breakfast, Lance fed him fruit and grains! but hey at least he had something to eat! something is better than nothing.

and yeah i wonder why i told this story. was it the 9am dr. pepper breakfast? or the one yr old choking himself with the cold pasta that doesn't chew? or was it the whole ignoring the baby while i check out another site that may turn out to be a complete waste of time? i have no uidea. i lost that train of thought after the facebook analysis.

Ok have a good day! and don't go choking on your pasta! take the time to chew!

Gotta love it! That Dirty job guy on television should try doing an episode on Motherhood. There are days when there is no grosser(word?) job in the world!!!!!!

Boo loves cold pasta - with sauce or without! It's a favorite staple in his diet. Anything cold actually- spaghettios, canned corn, chicken noodle soup - just open the can and give it to him which makes it super easy to serve, plus send in his lunch since he doesn't do sandwiches.

One of my favorite things about reading your blog is that you do post this kind of wacky stuff! The everyday happenings usually are the best!!!

You are so funny! Carter doesn;t chew his food either. He will shove the whole thing of whatever he's eating in his mouth & then gags.

Love that story. It seems alot like my own.
When Little L and Mr. T were two I would set them at the table (buckling them into their boosters) and turn on the tv and let them watch sesame street and eat breakfast! And I would go take a shower.
One morning I made eggs and bacon. They started eating and I went to start the shower.
I remembered that I had to grab some clean clothes out of the dryer, so I walked into the kitchen and what do you know?! That little Mr. T was choking on the bacon!! Lucky for him I knew the heimlich maneuver and saved him! And that is how I learned not to leave small children unattended for too long with food.
You are not the only one doing "other things" while your kid is choking!!

And YUM! I like your idea of breakfast!!
