why? WHYYYYY? WHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY?

holy cow! why is it? the minute the kids walk in the door, i am suddenly a screaming nut job!?
seriously the fighting?! the whining!?! the homework!?! holy cow! the homework! they'll do the worksheet but no one wants to do the freaking spelling words. and some even struggle with the worksheet! and then the whole "she didn't do her worksheet?!" mom, mom, mom?! "! blah blah blah!"starts and i swear I go from nice to pissy in 2.4 seconds! to the point of being a screaming nut! i admit it! it is only this one hour that i am fully susceptible to completely loosing it! why do they talk back ? why do they whine? it is not like it is hard. and please cooperate and lets get it over with and you can have a fun filled, computer playing, tv watching, run around the block, good time! Joni posted a great top ten about homework. and i whole heartedly agree with that. and i have to think it is gonna get worse before it gets better! harder homework and more kids in school! what was i thinking? for some reason i think it might just be easier to let it slide. and not do homework!

Are you sure you weren't in my house today? This sounds vaguely familiar...

Hey, Hey - I just made conferences with 2 teachers for a kid that is failing 2 subjects, but never has homework. Yeah, fun times!

Yeah, that was our house yesterday. So fun to get a "blue slip" sent home, the whining and the "I don't care about my stuff, so you can take it away" crap! LOL, you should have seen how crabby I was, Corbin didn't like it at all.

Not there yet with the kiddos, not looking forward to it either.

Hey-Hang in there girl. I think we all scream. I know that I do. Which Costco were you at? I bet they're already gone, but it's worth a shot. Thanks!

Just reading the same thing on Joni's blog.. too funny! My favorite is the freakin yes freakin kindergartener that goes BALLISTIC when he has to write his STINKIN name 5 x!!!! AAARGH! I actually tend to lose it more in the morning... you know when you are walking out the door and everyone suddenly remembers they forgot to do their homework, or I never signed their agenda, or OOPS THE CELLO! Love it!

We've only just begun!

Oh this is definitely the most stressful part of the day for me tOo! It makes me feel better to see that I am not the ONLY screaming mom at that time. We had another episode on the way home from school today..this time between Jaycie and Jordan..I think they were in the car for 4sec. at the most and then screaming at eachother! So then mom starts in...I swear it is always Jaycie and somebody!

Why is there always one kid who is more difficult that the others??

This is my house in a nutshell! I had one of my sweeties just walk out of the kitchen needing math help. I seriously am worse at math than my kids, at this point! Yikes! You aren't alone...and you are a great Mom! I am just catching up on blogs. It looks like you, and your family had a blast last night! I wish I would have known about that event. We would have been there.

Oh my gosh, Julie. That's what I love about reading your blogs. You're like the first one brave enough to admit what it's like when they come home. I thought it was only my wild boys that acted like that. I love when they start going to different schools, so that the arrival home time is a big staggered. I have one coming home from high school at a different time, one coming home from junior high at a different time, and three from elementary at the same time. It helps that they aren't all walking in at the same moment. It's definitely the elementary ones that are the worse. And you've got four arriving home all together! My hats off to you. And thanks for having the guts to tell it like it is, girl!!! And don't you hate when the baby is still sleeping when the all come bombarding your peace, and then the baby wakes up, too, right in the midst of all the craziness! That's the worst!!! Thanks for keepin' it real!!! Janeen P.S. I've found that they need a little bit of a break from school work when they get home from school, so unless we have something going that night, I have then do it at night. But that's just me!

Don't you also love when they all come through the door and bombard you with papers and questions and stories...all at once!!?

I'm so worried about how I will ever get through junior high & high school! My aunt Kim always teases & says she has graduated from high school 7 times!

okay, you are scaring me here! I only have a kindergartener and a preschooler so school is fun and they wish they had homework....I don't want my life to turn into this, well, okay, so i already have the screaming thing but that's just because they fight the second they are in each other's company, but seriously, totally scared for the future! hope it gets better!
