baptism pics!
The requisite family picture.
front row- Paxton(6),Liberty (8) Peyton(8), Joy (5)
Back Row-Hope (3), Lance, Me, Pierce (14 months)
it went well, we made it on time, but i felt rushed with the quick change afterward and the quick hair do. I opted to NOT buy a new baptism dress, since she had a white easter dress, in the right size, and i am not totally sold on white dresses, so she got to have gloves and a tiara and ruffle socks and new white mary janes. and i will buy her another different dress that i think will have more use. and that i like more. but she looked lovely and everyone thought the gloves and the tiara were over the top. and today she moseyed on up to the stand for her baptism and confirmation certificate. and the princess comments were plentiful for the rest of church.
i wondered if it wasn't a tad ostentatious but really? i might as well accept the fact that we are that way , that i have never failed to meet expectations in that regard, and let it go!

Your kids are so adorable and always look so cute!!!
Yeah I get to comment. She looks so pretty, I love the second pic! And I of course love the tiara. Glad it is done and over with. I can't imagine what a wreck I will be next year when it is my turn! And I think the private invite for me goes without saying ;)!
I loved the gloves and tiarra - of course my DD frequently wears hers to church just for the heck of it! It makes her feel like a princess and she stands a little straighter and sweeps in with style! That's my girly-girl! LOVE IT!!
She looks so pretty! The dress looks perfect to me...I do LoVe the tiara idea with the gloves...Great family pic!!

I was waiting for these pics all day yesterday. She looks beautiful! Love the tiara and gloves. Wish I had a girl to dress up like this. Think Boo would mind if I got him a tiara when he gets baptized??
I thought she looked absolutely beautiful!!! It's her BIG day & she can be as dressed up as you want. I don't think anything was too over the top. Everything went great & now it's over. Whew! Don't you love it?
i love the tiara!! it makes them feel so special. so looks adorable!!
Beautiful family & what 8 yr old girl doesn't want to get as much use as possible out of gloves & a tiara!! :)
I love that you gave her a tiara and gloves- I bet she will never forget her baptism day and how special she felt- a Princess- a daughter of a heavenly king!
Looks like it was a great day, and I also love the tiara.....who cares if anyone thought differently?! She was in the right place choosing the right thing. I might have to borrow your idea when my next gets baptized...but I'm more than 2 years away from that!
What a special day for her! She looks beautiful. Your family is adorable!
That was a great idea to use the Easter dress. I paid $50 for my daughter's baptism dress last March. She wore it the day of her baptism and for church the next day. Now it hangs in my closet, next to her blessing dress, waiting to give to her when she grows up and moves out. Will she appreciate that I saved them for her though? Probably not as much as I want her to.
Yeah! What an awesome day. She's such a beauitful girl. Congratulations!
Great pictures! She looks beautiful! You have a great looking family.
