WHOOHOO it is over! i am wiped out!

the new tradition- a family picture on Halloween!
oh i guess this is the one that Peyton isn't in! crap! there are more but blogger is having it's picture posting issue again. so this will have to do. double crap!
i wore my witch hat all night. and when i finally took it off my hair was pretty pathetic. then Andrea and her family stopped by, she didn't say anything about my hair. I wonder if she noticed it looked totally stupid? smooshed flat on one side and sticking up in not the normal way.

Pierce at his first door! see the lack of shoes? yeah he can't walk in shoes! maybe it is the cheap walmart ones he owns or maybe it is because i have never put shoes on this kid. he is the first to not wear shoes everyday of his life. so he trick or treated barefoot. i carried him from house to house! and he only did our street. then went to bed! he was tired from our full day!

so i waited too long on the sheep . By the time i finally tried on the sheep costume and it was adorable! seriously so freaking cute! so i rushed to go get the sheepy fabric for making ears! but ran out of time to create any. i went to Joann fabric. for the sheep fur. and piddled around too long, But seriously, fabulous things galore on clearance for 70% off! i couldn't resist! and then i needed to get stuff for treats for my visiting teaching ladies so i had a hard time making a decision on that. and i took way too long, then i had to hit the store for cookies and i went to FRY's and i bought the not delightful kind. thinking they looked cute, but they weren't delightful, it is the thought right? i should have just gone to sprouts for cookies like i planned i love sprouts!( i dropped those off at 9!! talk about the last minute!)

anyway. i got home around 5:30 and my mom got there. as i was pulling up, so she helped me get some kids ready. none of them thought they needed to wear shoes! for real? it isn't like it is cold but bare feet is white trash. anyway. so needless to say i ran out of time to make the ears, and change the bow! i should have done it earlier. then since i was running so late and Hope was in a costume she just wore the lady bug one instead of Bo peep! and so i didn't feel as lame about Pierce being Dumbo. but i am still making the ears and taking a picture of them together since it was so cute! lance and i took turns handing out candy. the kids got a load of candy for what they did, just our neighborhood. and they were wiped out!!

ok and i have a pet peeve. on our street there were a few houses with little kids not lit up. fine. but one family didn't hand any candyout, because they were gone trick or treating in the neighborhood. fine, they came to our house but no one was at theirs. I'm sorry this bugs me. really my kids don't get the fun of going to their house but we make sure to have someone there to make it fun for their kids. because maybe is it just me, but i think going to a street full of dark empty houses makes for a lame night! it is mid week. but this year i had to wonder where everyone was. on the other side of it thought is , another family on the street wasn't home but they also didn't come trick or treating to our house, so them not being home and being somewhere else was fine but just being out collecting candy and not passing any out is lame in my book. it kind of makes me sad because this year was lamer than normal for the trick or treating! our street used to be hopping every year and this year was pretty slow. i wonder why.
adn our ward doesn't do trunk or treats because i think they thought it might alienate non members with no houses to trick or treat at. with everyone gone partying together. but i do enjoy the whole only walking from car to car idea instead of house to house. where the majority of them are dark. o think i am bitter about this. sorry for the rant.

early! she stripped off the unicorn and laid down for the night. amongst the costume debris. well before 8:00! Poor Ashley came by to see her. and Joy had already gone to bed! thanks Andrea and Ben and family for stopping by! sorry people went to bed early! i was as shocked as you were!
