truths and lies! You are dying to know right?
alright. here we go.
#1. truth. i had my tongue pierced two separate times. once with a bunch of friends from work. and the dad of my boyfriend at the time didn't think it was impressive or nice. and i was influenced for wrong and took that baby out. to impress his dad. which he was impressed or whatever but i was peeved i got rid of it for that reason. SO 6 months later i had it done again. i wasn't with that guy anymore and didn't care what anyone thought. so i got it again. then i had it for about 5 months. and took it out because the place i worked had a rule about no piercings . and Lance was tired of me playing with it all the time(clinking it on my teeth). so i was just going to take it out for the day at work then put it back in at night, but i lost the screw on top of the barbell thing. and it closed up super fast i couldn't get it back in. i was more than a little peeved. but didn't get it pierced again. it was one of those rebellious things you can do at 18 that doesn't leave an outward scar. and my parents never knew i had it. either time. until after the fact. when a lame A$ brother in law told on me. my mom said she was disappointed in me. that sucked. but at least i don't have some cute at the time tattoo. which would be super ugly and stretched out now. plus i figured it was my one chance to be wild. without it affecting anyone. my choice, my agency, not scaring anyone for life. so would it be kosher to do it again? as the mom? it probably wouldn't be well accepted. and in case you wonder. it hurts way less than biting your tongue. it did swell huge and i talked funny for a day or two. and it cost 50 bucks a pop back in the day 1996! and as a side note I also pierced my own belly button in high school with a safety pin. smart! but it got infected so i took it out. **EDIT** if we are talking ears too? i had mine double pierced with my mom and younger sister for family night, when i was 7! and then again at 18 i got the top of my ear pierced, which got infected, and became a cyst that had to be surgically removed by the Dr. and stitched. it was fabulous! and that is the total of my piercings
#2.truth! i love the first OB appointment. not for the general pelvic and yearly part BUT because of the free bag of crap ! oh yeah my OB gives a bag full of magazines, and samples and whatnot. is it seriously my ultimate fave part! and yeah prego 8 times. 2 miscarriages thrown in to make my life fabulous! one at 8 weeks, my first pregnancy like 6 months after i got married, before Peyton . and i was really sad. and then ONE between Hope and Pierce. right after i found out i had cancer still, and so when i miscarried i went ahead and had more surgery to take out the rest of my thyroid and radiation and then got prego with Pierce before i actually was safe to get pregnant. but he is fine and apparently meant to be.
#3. Truth. i read science fiction/fantasy books for entertainment. I love love the wizard's first rule series by Terry Goodkind. i also consider Harry potter fantasy, and the Twilight series. all fabulous! i love the romance within the books . but the supernatural, wizards, witches , time travel, is all fantasy . also the Outlander series, is, in my opinion historical fantasy, since it involves the whole, time travel aspect. but yeah love the romance. but i wouldn't really sit down and read a harlequin romance. for entertainment. if i could pick up a sci-fi/ fantasy book with romance. maybe i am wrong but that is my opinion on that. i like space, futuristic stuff too but can't think of any right now.
#4 is the lie! um i took psychology back in High school and college , and found it very interesting. and in my opinion people that aspire to be psychologists are doing it to figure out themselves. i still think it is interesting but not a career i would pursue. not that i have the time for that anyway. if i was going to that much school I'd want to be a nurse practitioner or a P.A..
but really if i had the time and money to go to school these days it would be to be an aesthetician. love the thought of tweezing, waxing, and chemical facial peels. cosmetology school would be super cool too.
and I'd work in a salon with other people. i need some social interaction.
ok so whoever picked number 4 is correct!
so was it a hard one this week?
are ya'll shocked?
are you judging me for my rebellion ?
anyone out there with piercings they are willing to confess to? or how about tattoos?
be brave. no judgment from me.

well i have to admit i was wrong. i never thought of outlander as sci-fi but i can see your train of thought on that. so cool!! and i never thought of HP as fantasy but i love those books too!! so nice to know that i enjoy science fiction/fantasy books!!
and did you know that i too have piercings. i pierced my nose with a safety pin!! and have 11 in my ears. and i have tattoos but where they won't get stretched.
so i say GO FOR IT!!! and take pix!
That was a hard one! My hubby pierced his ear with a safety pin when he was in high school, but I just stuck with the normal ears myself. I did get two holes though, the second ones without asking my parents....really rebellious huh?
I was just blog hopping and landed on your blog. Fun post. Hey a little wild now and then keeps life exciting. I don't have tattoos or piercings but I did hitchhike once!
I have my ears double pierced... big no no....
I still love ya!!!
xoxo
ahhh!!! I was wrong!!! Dang.
I pierced my upper ear right after High School. I felt so cool and rebellious. That was my only rebellion aside from staying over night at one of my guy friends' houses...(nothing happend)...we were really just friends. I was in SO MUCH TROUBLE!! Yikes, i'll never forget my friends and I walking the lonely trail with our parents. Whew, still gets my blood racin...
Tami
I LOVE Outlander too! SO GOOD! But I never thought of it as Sci-fi, but I can see it.
I was rebellious but more in other areas. Not the piercings or tatoos, more the party scene.
I can't think of a time that I have been rebellious. I am sad that I didn't get to vote. I tried a couple of times yesterday, and didn't get the chance. Other junk kept coming up...
;o)
I think I may have gotten it right...
dang it, i checked ur blog yesterday, but didn't have time to guess. it was a hard one! you're good at that game! i never did the tongue or belly button piercing thing. but i do have multiple piercings in my ears... 3 in one ear and 2 in the other. my 1st piercing was when i was like 5 i think, then my mom, sis and i did our 2nd together when i was 10 i think. i did the 3rd on my own after graduating high school. was at the mall just shopping by myself and on a whim i decided to get another piercing. i haven't worn earrings in my 2nd pierce the last couple years, but never take out my 3rd (i just like it). no tattoos either, never really interested in that. love to play w/ the fake tattoos though!
Double earpiercings in college is all I can claim here. Pretty boring. OUCH!!! ON the self belly piercing! Are you serious??? You must have a super high pain tolerence. I also love the bag o crap from the OB! It is almost like Christmas--almost. So fun. Also ditto on the pregnant 8 times. 2 miscariages in between 5 and 6. Not planned but still sad. No shock or judgement from me here. I Love an honest person!
I have a CTR tattoo.
(That is the smallest thing I did in my rebellion period.)
LOL! I got it wrong!! BUT I remember you peircing your own belly button! My most rebellious was probably peircing my own 2nd hole in my ear thinking my Mom wouldn't notice, ummm that was the first thing she noticed!
Dang. I always miss out on the fun. I'm not sure if I would have gotta it right although I think I remember the tongue ring. Is that possible?
I love this post! I have been running around for the past 2 days. I am home now...yyyiippppeee! :) I admire your rebelion. I don't think there was a time in my world that I have rebeled. Now, don't get me thinking....hmmm, maybe I will go dye my hair purple!!!! :)
Okay girl.... you don't know me but I spy your blog from my friend Jen Woodard... I live in UT. Any-hoo.... I enjoy reading and thought I should let you know a stranger was here! I promise I'm not a stalker! Way to go on everything Mama!!

Loved this blog...way to mix it up. I was never brave enough to get my tounge or bellbutton pierced but sure did get a tattoo 3 months after my 18th bday. I went on a Laurel retreat one of the girls had a tattoo and I loved it so went and decided to get one...worst part is I got it in a trailer park on 117th Ave & Buckeye in some random guys trailer...SCARY.
I was WRONG! I stink.
Jon got a tatoo on his ankle before his mission that his mom didn't find out about until a few years after we were married. He always wore long socks around her. I actually never saw the original. He had it covered a few weeks into our LONG five week courtship. I still don't know exactly what the first one was but I know it involved a chubby chick's rear end and that he is totally embarrassed by it.
And no, I absolutely DO NOT judge your rebellion. I only judge that you lied to me about number four. :)
OOOO-what a little rebel. You are so funny! Do you have any pix of you with the tongue ring? I'd love to see them!!!
so...the person on here that prob knows you the least got it all right!! woohoo- carey rocks!! :)
actually, you just seem like the "screw shrinks" type of gal, so that's how i chose.
you seem to have yourself figured out already, even if there are those around you who don't agree with your figures!:)
you're so fun!!
and i ♥ the new music selection...i've gotta steal "julie julie" and put it on my music list!!!
Well, you know I'm not judging.
Okay so I missed the guessing game but, I have had my ears pierced since I was 6 months old and then I started adding more when I was 15. I think I added one for each year until I was 18. I have 4 on one ear and 5 on the other. I just used the earings that my Mom saved from when I was a baby. Jason and I also pierced my Mom's ears one night and I thought my Dad was going to find us and freak! Tattoo's yep go those when I was 17 & 18 from a guy that Jason knew that had a set up @ his house. Rebellion is great isn't it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brave is what you are!! I am to chicken to even consider ever piercing anything besides my ears and you did your tongue TWICE!! I was completely wrong on my guess. That is no big deal, I just enjoy the fun stories and facts:)
Ok , Hi I did not post this 3 times!!! I did not just fall off the blogger turnip truck:) It would not let me delete the second extra either...What's up? Hey also I can not just hit my back arrow to get out of your blog it is like you have me trapped. Wierd huh?
I can not push back to get off your blog either...?? Crazy! I push the back arrow and I am still on your page...sometimes if I push it a bunch of times really quick it works!
I knew the TONGUE THING was TRUTH! For the fact that I had a conversation with MARIA about wanting my tongue peirced senior year. And we discussed you and your tongue piercing WEIRD TALK for a few days! My plan was to do it while my parents were out of town, so I could hide it just like you! NEVER DID IT!! Not sure HAPPY or SAD!! But, I had thought about it!! You were my psuedo "role" model, just I never followed through! Wanted a tattoo too!! That was Hawaii days! But, never got it for the worry of stretching out, etc!! Ha ha!!
I have to say, the back arrow thing doesn't work for me either! I think you have set something up on your fancy pants blog settings! Also, you will love to know that my computer developed a mind of its own yesterday and opened like 60 windows with your blog in it! I couldn't get it to stop! So, I did a bad thing and just shut off the computer at the power button! It was WEIRD!! To have fifty or more windows popping up with your blog in it!!
SIgh I guessed wrong. Better luck next time, lol.
