ahhhhhhhhhhh it's over! woohoohooo!

it went well for the most part. except for the problems

the problems ?

i'll list them. i'm sure i'll laugh later.

the father in law calling Saturday at 5:30 wanting to come visit that night?(sooner than i had planned on, remember last years visit?) i told them they couldn't come until 8:00 pm it was a mad rush to get the floor mopped and the house in visitor shape. i had been cleaning but trying to wrap, and clean , and get neighbor gifts out , and cards. it was a lot to do. then they surprise us that they are in town and are leaving the next day. you have got to be freaking kidding. they brought gifts, rubber band guns. and stationary set with a millions pieces AND A GLITTER GLUE GALAXY with a MOTORIZED GLUE SQUEEZER! the kids were thrilled, i was horrified and we have yet to open it. i want to return it. i already have sharpie all over my walls, why would i want glitter glue on any surface? i don't! does anyone know where i can return that?

yesterday i went to wrap the christmas eve Pajama's? and discovered i had accidentally purchased 2 pairs in Joy's size and none for HOPE! EMERGENCY! i had to run to Kmart at 7:30 and get some , everywhere else was closed. i was bummed i hadn't inventoried before. LAME!
thank goodness for the big K!

oh i had the pleasure of going to walgreens at midnight. we needed to bring beverages to the in law function today. and hadn't purchased any. and sine i was out delivering to my sister teh family gifts we had gotten for her. (we had her name) i hit Walgreens it was the hot place to be, the only store open! lines, and crazy scary people, RAD! (and come to find out they didn't need us to bring any soda after the fact. lame )

We were up finishing until 3:45 when Peirce woke up ready to play. we put him to bed with us at 4:00am and got up at 7 am , no nap today.

bright side? it is over, the kids were happy. and i am so planning ahead better next year. across the board. cards? early! budget? save all year long and shop ahead. un package more, and wrap way ahead of time. for sure!

we gt the Highschool Musical Sing it Wii game - i had the pleasure of singing Fabulous in front of my in-laws tonight! fabulous! i am rad!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! and may your New Year be fabulous!

and the cards? mailed out yesterday evening. RAD!

I'm glad you had a good Christmas (despite the problems). I think I saw that glitter glue galaxy thing at Costco. You might check there. good luck.

Isn't it amazing the things the kids get as gifts? We didn't get a glitter thing but we did get some things that I found myself saying, really?!?!

I'm glad everything worked out in the end. I sure am glad that its over...

Don't you love the last minute stuff? Taylor got up to use the bathroom right when Santa was here. Luckily he didn't think to check downstairs, but just got back in bed. I ran up to make sure. We had major drama at my in-law's house. That will probably go on the blog they don't read.

Sounds like fun! We're always up super late Christmas Eve wrapping & cleaning. This year it was Sunday night wrapping & cleaning. Then I finished more cleaning Christmas eve b4 my SIL came over to help cook. Trying to get the kids to clean & pick up stuff on Christmas Eve morning (threatening to take away Christmas) is hard work. We all had fun w/ hubby's family & I was already super relieved when everyone left that night (just knowing it was over). I knew Christmas morning was going to be easy cuz it was just us in the AM, then to my parents' house for lunch/dinner. Last night was actually really relaxing (after I picked up more wrap & packaging materials, took out trash, washed more dishes, & put away extra food from my parents) and got to sit w/ kids to watch ELF again on tv.

That glitter glue thing - Geesh! I would never get that for my kids. That would be all over my house. Good Luck! Your tree is beautiful.

Christmas wouldn't be the same without problems! I went shopping at 3:45 a.m. on Christmas Eve to avoid crowds (it worked), giggled with drunk people about the quacking puppets I got for my nephew and Evie and then STILL had to shop that afternoon when I realized Santa had the wrong batteries for one of Gracie's presents. Booooo!

Still, it sounds like your day was wonderful and that everything worked out. Happiest holidays!!!

I'd freak out if relatives called unexpectedly and said they'd be over pronto! I have crayon and marker on my walls, too, so I hear ya when you say you want to kill the glitter glue gun!

I am glad to hear you survived it all!!! Last year I promised myself to plan my time and budget all year. I actually accomplished it for this year. Even though I was in bed and sick, it turned out to be a relaxing & Fabulous Christmas!! It was a ctually a great thing I was so organized this year... or else it would have been chaotic with Michael doing it all. So good luck with the planning!! It will be SO worth it!!!!

Sounds like a great Christmas. I can confirm the previous posters comments, the glitter glue is from Costco. I saw it there and knew I would NEVER want it! Glad your kids had a nice time. We got lots of webkinz here too, first timers. I am livid because the site has not worked once since we got them and they have really really disapointed my kids! I spent a lot of money on them. Are you getting yours to work?
