the day after clarification

i should add to that last post that since they came to visit early, and we hustled our buns to get it together. the house was clean for the two days before christmas, mopped and ready for the big day,no major cleaning like i would have had. my issue was that i had been bugging Lance to call and find out when he was coming so i could prepare a day or two early, instead of with just a couple hours and frantic scrambling. that was the problem. i think I'm gonna try to return the glitter glue galaxy to Costco. here is hoping. although Joy is loathe to part with it. but how fun is owning something that is never coming out of the box?

um Tammy you wondered about the bows, yes they sleep in them , all the time. i did have to put one in Liberty's hair and brush their hair before we could do presents so they didn't look ratty. and even with that, Paxton still had smear on his face. i don't think i got to the boys actually. in years past i made them let me fix their hair and get fully dressed in cute outfits before gifts. that is the kind of mom i am . freakish. obsessive about how my kids look. even on Christmas morning. i should say especially on Christmas morning. becuase i am taking pictures!
sick huh? and just on normal days they sleep in bows and i switch them to match whatever they are wearing if they don't have a bath everyday. truth!

so all in all it was fine. Peyton, Liberty, Paxton and Hope spent the night with Grandma JoAnn with 11 other cousins. Joy was going to but she had a stomach ache then puked grape juice all over the master bathroom at my mother in laws . luckily it was on the tile, Joy told me," i normally just swallow my barf but this time it wouldn't swallow". sad. but she is happy to have all the attention. and be catered to. she is presently sitting in the highchair, eating party pizza, and baked potato. lucky!

Pierce is thrilled with the influx of new Balls to play with. I think a ball is the perfect gift. it is one piece, can be played with alone or with a group, you can bounce it, roll it, throw it. kick it. sit on it. so we got a bunch of playground balls, small ones and big ones, and a Gertie ball (it comes flat and you blow it up with a straw and plug it ) , and high bounce balls with christmas items inside. we like balls.

Joy just told me the best part about staying home is mom does your hair pretty. i guess grandma doesn't have the knack.
