HOLY CRAP!
Christmas is in 10 days?
i can't freaking believe that! where has the time gone? i need to get my rear in gear and get this crap hole called my house ready! gifts? taken care of. what am I getting? the shaft probably. but the kids are taken care of and that's what's important. actually when i get the shaft for the big holiday, i feel justified in buying myself anything i want after the fact, like when our tax return rolls around, OR when we used to get student loans. but this year we are on a fixed income. i should say steady. we have a steady income . and it covers the basics. that is all that matters right?
I'm gonna get on the christmas card. still working on it. actually I'm making Lance call his brother to get them photoshopped and ordered. then all I have to do is send them out. fabulous! i pirated a screen shot off my brother in laws website. 
I'm not using this one for the cards, but i love it. you can't see the baby very well though, he is leading the pack. but i love it anyway. Matt is a professional photographer. and busy. I'm gonna make Lance ask for a disk for me too of the session. just so i can redo my pics on the sidebar, gotta keep it current . and play around. i like all the pictures that i am not in. hmmm. wonder why that is?
this weekend it's crunch time. i have to mop the floor, and put up the tree. i'll let the kids do it. my anal retentive unsatisfied with what i've got attitude is out the window with the deadline. procrastination is good for some things. and this qualifies as good. Oh and get this, we have a new plan to get the house in order. Lance said he'd help me. but we are having a new rule, NO computer or TV time after the kids are in bed. so we'll both be productive. and not wasting all the time doing less productive things. we'll see how it goes. it is great in theory. but in reality it might suck for me who never gets time when the big kids are home to be on the computer. until they go to bed. so i think in the end I'll get the raw end of the deal. not sure if i can hack that. but then again the house might be cleanish. and i might be more ready for the holiday. 10 days to overhaul the vortex? it'll take that and more. but i gotta start some time. and his help is worth it. yay!

i am not! but at least I'm not bah humbug! today anyway. gotta take it where i can. have a great Saturday. hope you get all you need to accomplished. and wish me luck! tree pics coming sometime , it is happening this weekend or I'm giving up on the holiday.

LOVE that picture! Still Life Studios? I just got a Christmas card from a friend and their card had that name on the back. Awesome pictures, I guess your BIL took them! Hmm, interesting! Can't wait to see which pic ya choose. Good luck on your 10 days of getting organized/cleaned up. I have to do the same clean up crap too! Wish me luck! At least you're done w/ the presents (buying anyway). I'm not totally done yet. We've bought little by little. Just got wrapping paper tonight, so maybe I can wrap what I do have. Usually we put it off and end up doing it Christmas Eve. Not a lot of time to look pretty under the tree! Well, gotta get in bed. Hope you accomplish everything you want to, esp since you have a helper (Lance).

Good luck on your busy weekend. It does not feel like Christmas is only 10 days away. I am just not into it this year I guess. I think it is because the kids do not have the gimme's this year. They have only asked for 3 things because they know that is what they are getting. So it has been wonderful!

10 Days away??? Holy crap! I guess you're right! You sound JUST like me. Haven;t cleaned .Gifts are bought and sitting UNwrapped under a bed somewhere.
Don't feel too bad-Other than our tree and lights outside being up I have nothing else done. I've been lazy about it this year. My cards aren't even ordered yet. That's my #1 goal to get today. I haven't even thought about the whole treats thing yet either. Oh boy. Have a good one.
And I can't wait to see tree pics!
I'm so glad to know I'm no the only one not ready this year. Procrastination is a big thing in my house right now but I need to get over it and get a move on.

I love this happy post! It's making me feel very holiday-ish. I still have a list too and for some reason I'm not stressed about it either!

i'm with you on the not having anything done. even tho i do have a tree!! no cards, hardly any gifts, nothing wrapped. today is the day to scrub behind the toilets and start getting things clean!
but tonight i'm watching elf. no matter what the grinch (hubby) says!

You will get everything done that HAS to be done. That's the way life works for a mom with kids at Christmas. The stuff that doesn't matter will fall by the wayside.

HOLY CRAP is my saying these days too. I did actually get Chad's present done today. I made him a video of his mission. Lots and lots of hours, but it turned out good so I'm happy about it. YEAH! I think I know your brother in law Matt. Is he my age?

I cant believe how fast his season ahs gone. It is so crazy that there are only a few more days left until Christmas. I need to get my rump in gear also. Nothing like a last Minute Larry!
