the scoop
the update.

you have been waiting on the edge of your seat. i know it. so i will finally reveal the happenings of my morning and time spent at the endocrinologist office. yeah pop some popcorn, it is quite the saga. kidding kind of.

In order of occurrence.
-I got out of bed around 7:40 am
-took morning pills and distributed meds to the boys. (ADHD, DUH!)
-oversaw the distribution of donuts . (breakfast of champions i tell ya)
-did hair for 4 kids.
- shoved 4 kids out the door for school!
-read a couple comments to my blog post. thanks for that.
-scrambled to get pierce dressed(poor kid got a diaper wipe bath instead of a real one and man chocolate frosting dries fast. it was smeared all over his face, arms and belly?don't ask.) because my mom was babysitting and she picked him up,
-rush to get Hope dressed , curled her hair with hot rollers. and found her shoes and got her ready in the nick of time. Lance put her on the bus since i was still in my "Pajamas" .
-grab some clothes. thank goodness i finally finished washing my black clothes yesterday. and had something decent to wear. i only washed that load like 5 times. the last time i just stood in there waiting for it to wash through the whole cycle so i didn't forget it again and let it get stinky and have to re wash it again. (life happens and i have Adhd too. ) oh remind me to tell you at the end about my favorite black bra. and it's untimely demise.
- haul a$ to the Dr. and traffic was once again a nightmare. they are widening it and it is now only 3 lanes instead of 5 . it flowed but it was only going like 25 miles an hour. LAME.
-stop at circle K to pee. i had been drinking alot of water. and needed to stop before i got to the Dr. so it wasn't urgent. and i bought a pack of gum. i love the green stride gum.
-i proceed to the DR. get weighed and i weight 2 lbs more than i did on Tuesday. same scale NICE! have i mentioned i don't own a scale? nor do i weigh myself ever!
-blood pressure is high again. whoohoo. yeah , it's stressful to get 5 kids out the door and get another to a babysitter and fight traffic for 45 minutes on the way to get there in a timely manner. yeah my blood pressure is high after that. and hmm i am here once again about my cancer?! yeah genius. the dr. just looked at me like? really why are you stressed? she needs her roots done too.
-she lowers my synthroid dose. again. damn her!

-this is the best part- if you read nothing else read this....
remember i was there for results from the ultra sound on Tuesday? you remember the flirty tech right?
well , My Dr. said and i quote," well i read the report but i haven't had time to go over it with Carlos(the flirty tech) the lymph node is still there. but it came back on biopsy cancer free before, so we will do another ultra sound in 6 months. " i when i get a chance i'll talk to him and then let you know if anything changes.
ok i said nothing but i was seething. hello you stupid biotch! i am here for my f-ing results and you didn't go over them with the incompetent flirty tech??
for real?
BUT this is the high point. i reminded her, that last time I was there in September she said we'd do a whole body scan in February. SO SHE ORDERED IT! and best part? with thyrogen! (which will be injections at the hospital 2 days in a row, yay) BUT NOT GOING OFF MY MEDS! whoohoo! really excited about it. so yeah as long as the insurance approves it it will happen in like 3 weeks! fabulous! and then?
i am switching DR's. because i am not a fan.

she didn't recall why we went with PET/Ct last year instead if the whole body scan. (iodine exposure) and wasn't going to order it until i reminded her she said last time we'd do it in FEBRUARY.

so i finish up. not happy about the appointment.
- rush back to get Peirce from my mom's.
pick up taco bell for lunch.

- while we are eating i was attempting to vent about the appointment to Lance and he got mad at me. and told me i haven't liked this Dr. it is my own stupid fault for going to her and going back. and he doesn't want to hear another word about the lame ass ways of this dr.s office.

in my defense. i just want to get this test done and switching right now would push it back at least 3 months but more like 6. so I'll go get the f-ing scan. and then switch.

and yeah so no retail therapy. no time. :(


the more i think about the lame dr. and lack of service at her office. the more irritated i get. and yet LANCE Doesn't WANNA HEAR IT. so it is over for now. hope the scan stuff happens fast. and i can switch to a new DR. and then it'll be over for another 6 months or maybe a year. yay.
