wednesday afternoon!

well this morning went pretty well. the kids were only a few minutes late. not as bad as it could have been. let me tell ya.
and since i was in the car bright and shiny early with clothes on, i went to sonic for a reward beverage. yes. haven't you heard ? Dr. Pepper is the breakfast of Champions! (or not thin stay at home moms with not enough sleep.)

and since i was out and dressed in clothes(yes I've said it twice since it is such a big deal becuase it is so rare an occurrence) , i thought I'd go hangout at my mom's house, but the maid was there, so she came over to my house. and my sister came too. and since my house is not that clean, she insisted on mopping my floor. my sister apparently can totally ignore the floor or other filth at her house but at mine it bugs her. and to think it was clean on Sunday. you couldn't tell this morning though. so she swept and mopped while i vacuumed and did the counters. and got the kids out of the water out back. and got some bins out of Liberty's room. we now have new to the kitchen shoe bins. instead of a basket or a pile i have a bin per person, and i am going to label them with vinyl lettering. I'll take a picture, these bins were originally in the playroom, but our toys way over fill the bins and we got deluxe ikea shelves for in there instead. so one or two pairs of shoes per person should work great though. and they have been taking up space in Liberty's room, so now she'll have a little more room for other crap.

after the floor was dry we went to Barro's for pizza, my treat. since She insisted on helping me out. yeah i offered to have her come every week, but she isn't buying into that. so now it looks like the maid came to my house today too. the kids even asked when the maid came. turkeys! yeah it was me and my sister. not the maid. but we both said it was way easier to get something done since our mom was holding the babies. that is a big reason i get so sidetracked. always having to stop and clean up a new mess or change a diaper or hold a fussy kid. so next time i have to go help at her house. maybe both of our houses would be cleaner, for like all day, since all it takes is the kids to come home before there is another mess, spill, or clutter to pick up or clear out.

so far since the kids came home, there was school papers on the floor, socks around, and orange peels littering the floor. good times. now i'm gonna go yell at some people to pick up the crap again. it is a never ending battle. but the shoes are in the bins. wonder how long this shoe organizing strategy will last? i hope it does. the main problem will be keeping Pierce from unloading the shoes from the bin.

dinner? Lance isn't here so we are eating out. It's wacky Wednesday's at Sonic. $1.49 kids meals. i figure Lance is eating someplace good all week. we can go ahead and eat out for cheap. hot dang!

Have a fab evening!

1.49 for a kids meal! How nice is that! That's awesome that your sister helped you out! I wish my sisters lived closer!!!

Sounds like a fun day!!! There's nothing better than having someone to clean with. I hate doing it all by myself!

What a great day! I know you're not a morning person, but I love getting up early and getting ready and getting stuff accomplished. Nice that your sister and Mom helped with your happiness today. And that's one thing I love with Luvpilot being gone - no cooking dinner! (Well, besides man & chesese or baked potatoes - but that's not cooking). I don't have to cook again until Friday - happiness!!

Yeah not much of a morning person here either...good for you, and i know it's not easy I always love the way I feel when I do get up early, but when it comes to actually getting up...it doesn't appeal to me all that much...Yay for a clean floor and cheap sonic meals...

Have fun...

Janna's right--It does sound like fun at your house! Dad's gone so we go out? LOVE IT!!!! Way to go -- that makes it even more fun. I so wish we had sonic's around here. We get commercials, but no stores. Weird isn't it?

I love reading your blog--you just have it so together-- I forget how many kids you have! How do you do it?

I love your new blog backround with the kids. So cute!! How did you do that? You are so clever!

It totally irritates me to no end, when on days that I REALLY clean up the house, Chris or the kids always ask "who is coming over"?? Like I only clean when people are coming to my house! It is probably true, but I am not going to admit it..LOL

i lost a lot of weight when i stopped drinking dr pepper. the diet crap bugs me so i went off caffiene completely.
lost weight but had instant migraines. tough choice. i drink dr pepper again.

Anonymous? a name please it is all i ask.
and my Dr. pepper consumption is all i have. it is better than drugs, or alcohol. so i cling to it, making me fat or not. it's all i've got.
but thanks for that info. i totally know i'd be a much thinner person if i would give it up. but i'd probably be a huge rag. fat and happy is the route i'm on these days.

don't beat yourself up about your house being a mess. imagine if you had 6 kids and your house was always neat and tidy. THEN i would be worried.

hope over to my blog today to see what my house is looking like!

AHHH, this is the 5th time I have tried to leave a comment, blogger is being stupid for me! That said, I love the bin idea, can't wait to see the final project. And I am glad you were able to get stuff done, it is amazing how much easier it can be when Grandma is there to help occupy the kiddos! Good idea on the Sonic, had I not had leftover I would have definitly gone there! And eh, I don't loose ANY weight when I stop the DP or all pop, makes no difference in me, so I may as well be a happy big girl and drink up!

I love the trade off cleaning idea. So much easier when you have someone taking care of kids and someone to help clean. Isn't this why mom's need more hands? Please post pics of your new shoe bins- I really want to see what they look like.

I LOVE your day! I love that your kids asked if the maid came. I always tell my kids the Laundry Fairy showed up, or the Clean your Bedroom Fairy was here all night! It's true that it's a NEVER ending battle!
good job for getting the shoes organized & the floors mopped!!

Your sister mops your floor? Who cares if SHE thinks it's a put down! Heck, act like it REALLY bugs you so she will do it more! :)
