saturday wonders!

dude i got to sleep in this morning! whoohoo on that.
and then lance started on the swing set. lance worked all day and into the evening. he is still working on it. it is 7pm. and dark and cold. (AZ cold of course, it is cold to me.) so he is working on it. at one point this afternoon there were 9 kids on the base climbing, and posing. and Lance was working in the middle of a pack of kids. then we had the teeter totter filled to capacity(7) and more were running around. I took pictures but I'm on the lap top and not my computer so I'll add them later. the kids are thrilled and helping and waiting , and hanging out on what is done so far. it won't be finished tonight but we knew it would be a big project.

we had 2 of my sisters kids here all day. my boys spent the night there last night. and 2 stayed to play this morning. the kids all had fun.

on my diet? i made soup. from scratch. yeah shocking. normal people might do that regularly but not me. it was good. and diet approved and kids ate it too and loved it. it was just celery, onions, garlic, cabbage and carrots, with my non iodized salt. and a little olive oil i didn't add the water for a little bit to cook some of the onions and cabbage and celery first. and to start it so it'd be a little more flavorful. it was excellent. i like cooked cabbage. and cooked celery and who doesn't love cooked carrots? the babies had their fill from my bowl and Peyton had 2 bowls of his own.

pretty great day. well after the fighting and yelling on my part this morning. when Lance was starting to build the swing set, but made me decide the location and not listening to me reason it out. or talk about prepping the yard. i felt like it needed to be prepped and he didn't think it needed it. UGH! so i let it go. I'm sure the neighbors enjoyed it. i can be so foul mouthed pleasant sometimes.

Mike does stuff like that too, he will have me go outside & ask me where things should go then doesn't listen to me. That will be so great when it's all done! And, great weather is on it's way (some might say now is great but I still think it's a little cold!)

I can;t wait to see pics when it's all done. Woo hoo!! I hate when Zac asks my opinion, but doesn't listen to it. I could wring his neck!!

Men don't prep. Whenever I want to change a room around Jon just starts moving stuff. It always ends up taking longer than if I would have won and we'd prepped the room a little. Whatever.

Your soup sounds yummy and the day sounds like a great one!!

So nice that you got to sleep in. I love when that happens for me. Those swingsets are a beast to put together. It took my brother in law 3 days to do his. I'm sure your kids will love it though.

Don't you hate it when we know best and they won't listen to us? And we ALWAYS know best.
