the afternoon recap.
lunch was mediocre at best . maybe because i was craving cafe Rio but we went to schlotzsky's (lance was craving a sandwich). normally i pick the place. but was being nice and went with his choice.
and then AARON my favorite blitching inventing brother was invited. so me , lance, Aaron and 3 kids. rad. it was fine. the kids were OK and people kept smiling and staring at us. yeah the kids . nice people but too much attention about having the kids there makes me uncomfortable. nice or mean , the fact that they are looking bugs me. i know I'm weird.
SO. after lunch on the way home there was a weird bumping in the tire. so we stopped at Aaron's to check it out and guess what!? a BOLT was in the middle of the tread. yeah. rad. so we went to discount tire. (where our tires were purchased but they couldn't plug it because our tires were virtually bald. RAD HUH? so we got 4 new tires and got a little discount because our warranty was still in place. yup. NEW TIRES, SURPRISE! but now with the new tires. less stress about that one we never got fixed at Christmas time. the one that would go flat occasionally. and Lance realized how bald they were getting. whoohoo so that is safer. I'm glad.and we won't have to do that for a long while again. yay.
so we piddled around at the nearby dollar store. and guess what!? Hope said she needed to go potty. and lame store that it is had no public restroom. so we left and i am officially boycotting that store. they are losing my $30 a trip business. yes, i spend no less than $30 every time i go to the dollar store. it's a sickness. and letting the kids each get one or two things adds up fast.
anyway needless to say, she pooped in her pull up, but that was the first time ever she told me she needed to poop, so that is a big breakthrough. whoohoo! she says next time she'll tell me. and if she starts wearing panties with no problems all the time SHE CAN HAVE A PRIZE!~ yeah i think we are finally close to potty training her. yay for that.
so that was my ultra exciting afternoon.
tonight? having a GNO and seeing this fab movie. can't wait. long week.

I love the Cafe Rio Salad! Sorry about the tires. I saw that movie on Monday. I already had read the book. Have fun. Definetly Maybe was my fav out right now.
You took your kids to lunch and then to get your tires changed? Brave girl! I get way too stressed out when my kids misbehave in public. Your kids must be better trained then mine.
Have you read the book? If you see the movie, it is worth the read. fascinating.
That Dollar store sucks with their lack-of-bathroom situation; it makes me want to let the kid pee right there in the aisle!

Ooooh...I have been wanting to see that movie so I can't wait to hear your review! We too had to get new tires a few weeks ago, and while I HATE forking out the money for them it helps to know that we aren't driving around on bald tires anymore. And yay for Hope telling you she needed to use the potty! Awesome! I too hate small stores like that and just give them the look if they say we can't use theirs and then say, okay, well, you can clean it up then and they usually let me use it....I'm such a brat! Anyhow, have a great night out with the girls...you deserve it! :)
♥ I hate having to buy tires it seems like such a waste of money! THey're so expensive, oh I know we all need them and stuff but dang!!! 400 plus bucks for rubber! :)

OH. I would SO boycott that dollar store, too. ANYONE who tells me my daughter she can't use their restroom, I boycott, Forever. I hate that more than anything!!

Can't beat fun prizes from the doller store. I am the same no public restrooms and no diaper changing station and you may never see me again!! Yeah for the new tires and a GNO. I can not remember the last time I saw a movie at the theatre without kids...oh well
YAY gotta luv new tires! And YAY for Hope getting to the next step of potty training! That's so frustrating. I do NOT like potty training.

so you're in the potty training blah part of life too- luckily, my brady is doing pretty good, he didn't regress too much with baby's intrusion and we are still having accidents with him, etc. but he's doing pretty good with telling me he needs to poop and then going (huge milestone for him!) good luck!

I really want to see that movie. That is definitely a GNO movie, my husband would not be too thrilled if I brought him along for that one.
