Easter talk and a little peek into the dynamics of my relationship.
tonight i ran a few errands about two hours later Lance called to say he was cooking dinner. and when was i coming home. i said soon and i'd stop to get bread. well, soon and getting bread turned into awhile and grocery shopping. the kids are gone to his moms to spend the day and night. we only have Pierce. which is like being alone since he is active but doesn't talk . so i figure. we are having dinner at home I'd pick up something for dessert. and i found some ready to bake brownies (in the pan and everything) for sundaes. i get home, dinners ready, i carry in the groceries and Lance put the brownies into the oven. he finished eating way before me(he's a super fast eater). and pretty much ditched me at the table so I'm still eating and the timer on the oven went off. he's either watching The Sound of Music (which is his fave when it's on TV ) or he's in the office. i yelled for him but he didn't hear me over the TV. and since he ditched me i was sitting at the computer eating and trying to catch up on the blogs in my reader. SO i see he's active on google chat. and this is the proof i was after-
Lance: ok
and we both marveled at the fact that we were eating at home ALONE! that never happens i always want to go out if we are alone. but we ate out for lunch. and you can tell i am not used to it since i made half a loaf of toasted bread for the 2 of us. more than half of it got thrown away.
and with our free time alone. we ran errands. while Pierce napped in the car. we got the last of the stuff we need for Easter tonight. except ribbon at the ribbon store it closes at 6 pm . i got there at 6:15. dang. i guess i'll have to go tomorrow. SHOOT!
and webkinz were still buy one get one free at Justice for girls. no coupon necessary.
the kids thought they should each get one in their baskets. and i'm a sucker this week for making magic happen.
the other specifications about the baskets for this year?
NO fruit snacks in the eggs for the hunt.
NO fruit snacks in the easter baskets.
they each need a toy
they have to have lots of CANDY.
must have new baskets. (they said so)and NO "LAME ONES"
this is what they told me. silly kids. where do they get this? and you can tell i have put fruit snacks in both the baskets and eggs in the past.
wonder what they are gonna think about the toothbrushes and toothpaste I'm putting in the baskets too?
can't wait to hear "THIS IS THE BEST EASTER EVER!"
seriously i think it was the best spring break ever too!
hope you have a fab day tomorrow. AND a very special Easter Sunday!

I've still got to do some Easter shopping tomorrow - unless I put all the old Halloween candy in their baskets. Tempting.
webkinz!! you have got some lucky kids! there is nothing wrong with putting fruit snacks in there, candy is candy right???
do your kids write a list for the Easter Bunny? is it like the Santa list?
awesome!
oh i was so into the whole Easter Basket thing i forgot to say ..woo hoo on an almost empty house.
bah chicka waaah waah!
lol
Oh my gosh- I still need to Easter shop. Sucky! I don't want to. I tried to tall the kids The Easter Bunny is on Vacation, but they aren't buying it. Whatever.
I had not thought of tothpaste and new tooth brushes. Good Idea:) I did swimming suits for the girls, trucks for the little boys and a wii game for Lightning.
HAPPY EASTER!!!!
YAY on gettin Easter stuff done! Webkinz is a cute idea! I still have to go and get the hot wheels from Toys R us (3 packs for $10) that will go in some of the eggs, any way to cute down on candy!
WooHOO for getting a night somewhat alone with Lance! Sometimes those are few and far between, and kinda nice to just do whatever together.

Too funny about you chatting with Lance. I'll email Luvpilot if he's still asleep and I want to remember to tell hime something, but I don't think we've chatted like that. Yay on having Easter done. Boo got a Webkinz and some extra Webkinz stuff, and Tay got a new video game. Plus the candy. Usually I put spare change in some of the eggs, but didn't this year. Maybe because Boo is always "stealing" the spare change out of the drawer.
Hope you have a fabulous Easter!
i love it- chatting online to hubbie for "oven duty"! LOL
and i absol. love the fruit snack idea...gotta get creative at times and usually we have that on hand in abundance with young kids!!
today's my day to hit walmart for easter candy and goodies! wish me luck!!! i have a sinking feeling that there is going to be nothing great left and i will be resorting to fruit snacks (not that that is bad!)
have a wonderful "crazymama" day!
Too funny! My kids haven't gotten into the requests - just CANDY! Easy 'nuf for me.
Love the toothbrushes! We did that last year with the Tooth Tunes (thanks to you for showing them to us!) and who knows this year. I'm slacking.
LUCKY! I wish my parents would take my kids for overnighters! My inlaws live out of town, so they have that excuse. My parents just don't ever offer and even when I ask if they'll watch them, I tend to feel guilty because they usually have other plans. Lame but whatever.
Too funny that they tell you what NOT to put in there. Although my oldest did mention for VDay that she DIDN'T want a bear wearing a sweater?! I thought it was funny though. Even funnier, she's getting a rabit w/a sweater in her Easter basket!! We'll see how she reacts.
Totally hilarious........IM within your own home. :)
♥ That's so nice that your mom takes your kids for you ever now and then. It would be so nice to live closer to family!
Lucky you having an almost empty house. So nice
I love that you get so excited over the holidays. I do that too I am just like one of the kids. I love to see thier faces in the morning.
Also have to say I chat with my hubby too. Mostly when I am working at night and don't want the kids to hear me.
