Lady bug release. Tuesday. April first.
PLEASE NOTE: NO LADY BUGS WERE HARMED IN THIS ADVENTURE.
(the kids only used eggs with air holes. so they could have air)
and we do own bug boxes, but they weren't at the park with us at the time, however the eggs were in the van,so being the out of the box thinkers that they are. they made it work.
SEE the day bugs in the eggs.
it was the kids idea to bring them home. they know that Ladybugs eat aphids.
and wanted to feed them.

Paxton hang out with Pierce. Hope and her red ball,. notice no bow. yes there are times we don't have one on. like when she pulled out her pony tails. and we are at the park and i fix it with what i've got available.
and Joy was playing at the neighbors and couldn't be bothered to come home and have a picture taken.

My kids love to find ladybugs too. I saw some cute bug cages at Target and Walmart that would be fun for them to put the ladybugs in.

Cool! We did one of those praying mantis eggs at school one year. It was awesome!

i just bought a whole bag of lady bugs to come feast on the little critters eating my roses. i do it every year and love seeing the kids catch them...great idea on the easter egg bug holders...smaaaart!
oh and the kids are the cutest!

Your roses are amazing! They look great we are still all brown here. UGH! I want some green thanks for posting yours so that I can remember that plants do grow. LOL
