SATURDAY rundown on sunday early A.M.
let's see. Tony and Lance had plans to do tile at 7:30 am.
i had to pick up my flat of strawberries at 8:00am-then sorted through and picked out any over ripe or moldy ones. put 6 lbs in the outside fridge and cut up 2 lbs for strawberry shortcake for dessert tonight.
Peyton had his first basketball game today. and hadn't had a practice until this morning at 10:30.
which while that is LAME. it's better than Paxton's no call from a coach, and no game today. i have pictures but at 1:42 am it isn't happening.
So practice, i dropped the girls off at my mom's today. so i wouldn't have 5 Tagalogs only 2.
and went to practice. with out a stroller. and this school has the craziest basketball court/playground set up ever. i was dying. it was quite the hike in and out and stupidly i did it 4 times, and to the gym to ask about Paxton's team. and carrying Pierce who by the way is a very solid kid. Lance had taken my stroller out of the van yesterday when they picked up tile.
So the game went well. they play for an hour. and Peyton did pretty great considering. he thinks basketball is his sport.
and Pierce's diaper leaked out on me. he had been loading up on drinks to keep him happy, and Lance had used a generic diaper on him , after we found him just as we were leaving sitting in a bucket of water. his shoes and clothes were soaked along with his diaper. so a quick change later. turned out to be peeing out on himself and me. FAB! and i left the diapers in the car on the far side of the gym. so we sat in pee clothes for the last half hour. UGH.
SO on the way home finally we hit McDonald's and then went to Costco.
then came home to Lance and TONY finishing the dressing room. they were putting on the trim molding and caulking as i unloaded the VAN. then i had the pleasure of cooking meat for tacos. we had a request from tony for homemade tacos we have them every time he comes to work at our house. it's been a few years but he doesn't forget the wonder. so i whipped up my homemade salsa and guacamole. and then whipped cream from whipping cream. heavenly. my mom and Gary were here for dinner too. after that. i was SO tired. i laid down for a long nap. and got up at 7pm. Lance went and got my sister's 3 big kids to come spend the night. and they partied down
until after midnight. my girls fell asleep pretty quick but the boys were up and pretty hyper. so no finished dressing room pics or basketball pics until tomorrow. IF i get a turn on the computer. Peyton has been hogging mine.
stuff i got to do today that i normally wouldn't?
-get up at 7l30 am on a Saturday
-pick up the fruit at the co-op (Lance normally goes)
-take the boys to basketball(lance was going to be in charge of basketball)
-hike all over a school. with my toddler that weighs 30lbs
-cook meat.
-let the kids stay up so late. and have cousins over to spend the night.
that is pretty much my day in a nutshell. exhausting isn't it.
and i didn't get to watch any conference at all. :( i had been looking forward to it. and had planned on catching at least the morning session but the day had it's own agenda, and keeping the kids out of the way has been a nightmare. i forgot to put it on my TIVO list.
tomorrow i'll sit down and watch it. yay.

♥ Busy day! Can't wait to see your finished tile!
You did have a busy day!! Wow!
Wow, super busy day! At least you got a nap in there. I missed conference, too, but recorded it so I can watch all or most of it today. Connor said, "Yay, church is on TV tomorrow!"
Holy cow, girlie...I would have dropped from exhaustion!!
I hope you get to rest and relax just a little bit today...and I can't wait to see the pictures of the dressing room.
I want to come to dinner at your house! Now I am totally craving TACOS and strawberry shortcake....with REAL whipped cream (my hubby loves to make it!) What a busy day....glad you could grab a nap in there! hope you got to enjoy a little conference today
Julie, I get tired just reading your blogs. Hopefully you had a more relaxing day, today.
Busy, busy! Darn those generic diapers. Ü I hope you were able to enjoy conference today. I loved it. It's nice, my kids are actually old enough to sit and listen. But we try.
Sorry you missed, it was great. What I saw and heard inbetween fighting kids and making dinners etc. I can't believe you make all that from scratch you are my kitchen hero! WOW I totally open the cans and call it dinner. Uhm yeah that is when the local resturaunts didn't make it that is. Busy day, hope today was better for you;)
BUSY BUSY! You are too nice you whipped up homemade salsa and guac. I would been ordering pizza especially after running around with no stroller.
wowee.. busy day for you!! i LOVE strawberries. i want to come for tacos and strawberry shortcake too!!! AND i can't WAIT to see pics of your new pimped out place. here's hoping you got to catch a little of conference today like you wanted to! hugs!
Goodness you were BUSY! I got tired just reading about it. ha ha
Holy crap, can't believe Pierce weighs 30 lbs already! That is a lot to lug around w/o a stroller. Geesh Anson is a light weight cuz he barely weighs 32 lbs and he's 3 1/2. LOL :)
Conference was AWESOME this weekend! I got to watch all of it with the kids except Pres Monson's talk on Sunday morning session. My MIL came over to drop off some stuff & chatted for a little bit. Oh well, I feel pretty good that I watched it all and made the kids sit & watch it too. My girls actually took notes! Well, I give them candy for every talk they can tell me about. Just a little incentive to listen! IT WORKS :)
