my actual mothers day.
started at midnight( like all days do) i was painting the sign for my mom , and the chalkboard for Lance's mom nothing like putting off the hand crafted gift 'til the last minute, even though i had the supplies for weeks. Lance wished me happy mothers day at midnight.
i stayed up and posted pictures, and another long wordy post. shocker i know.
i woke up in the morning to the 4 big kids who'd gone shopping with dad at the ultra classy and my ultimate fave DOLLAR store! THEY CAME IN with helium balloons, and gift bags filled with Candy(paxton had opened 2 different candy bars and gave them to me a York with a couple bites missing, and a giant crunch bar seriously pulled the out of the bag and showed me) since they all unwrapped them for me, and cards, and, stuffed animals. plus the school crafts, and cards. they were so excited!
and i chalked it up to a FABULOUS thoughtful gifts.
see, i would have taken them to buy gifts, and then gotten them all a treat for themselves. so see who could resist the crispety crunchy chocolate , when you have none for yourself. at least Paxton still gave it to me. i would have eaten it all myself, and pretended like there never were those candy bars.
to be continued...
pierce isn't feeling good, i'll go lay down and hold him and post the rest of the day later
there is more.

I'll be waiting to hear more. So funny that there were bites out of the candy. I love the little things they make at school, and how excited they are to give them to you.
BBWWWWWAAAAAAA! Julie!!!!! I haven't even read your post yet, but I have to comment because your playlist came on & started playing!!! I love "Punk Rock Girl!" It's on my ipod! On of my FAV running songs! Every time it comes on, I start running like I just popped speed.

Ok. I think I'm alright now.
NEVER MIND, NO I'M NOT!!!! I WISH WE WERE NEIGHBORS!!!
I obviously need a moment. I'll come back later.
♡ Breakfast/candy in bed! I love seeing how excited the kids get!
The couple of peices of candy that were on Nathan's bouqet never even it made it home...so at least you got some candy even if there were a couple of bites missing...
What would we do with out there funny little stories!
CAN'T WAIT to read more!!!!
Sounds awesome so far...
Hi, again. Cute story about your candy with bites out of it! Jake got mad at me during the week and ate my candy bar and ripped up my card! So nice. So, a candy bar with some pieces missing is sounding really good to me! Sounds like they came through! Yeaaa!
Happy Mother's Day! I am coming back for a visit on your blog. I can't wait to read more!
NOTHING better than waking up to your kiddos bearing gifts....that is just how my day started as well....and it was WONDERFUL! :) Can't wait to read the rest.
sounds good so far...looking forward to hearing MORE!
Hope Pierce is feeling better, we want to hear the rest of the story! ;)
Love the candy with bite marks!!!!!!!!!
Our way of getting presents is to tell each other what we want (I email him PICTURES even). Then one small surprise gift. I learned this lovely trick from Emily Watts book that is on my unbalanced woman blog. Makes holidays MUCH better when their is a gift involved!!
I love it! What a fun way to wake up. (if waking up can ever be fun anyway) So funny that he took a bite. hahahaha I love the $1 store idea I am so dropping that into my hubby's bucket that would take away my gift guilt and let the kids feel more empowered.
Hope Pierce is feeling better soon.
I love that they went and bought you sweet dollar store gifts & half eaten candy! Happy Mothers Day!
