HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOY!

Happy birthday to JOY! she is a one of a kind.

hmm what can i say about my #4 kid who is 6 years old today!

how about 6 things!

1. she is hilarious. she is always saying the funniest things, she doesn't try to be funny, she just is Funny!

2. she is sensitive. she sobbed when Wilson floated away while watching Castaway. how many 5 year olds watch that and actually get it? she does. and she cries in any movie where people would feel sad. the down side to this is, she freaks out during scary movies. spiderwick chronicles is NOT her fave movie.

3. she loves to be cute. and is always asking if she is the cutest one. maybe that is because if she tries to refuse getting dressed or her hair done i ask her if she wants to be the ugly sister. hmm. but it works she is always thrilled to look cute.

4. she loves to sing. she is always singing a song. and she has great rhythm .(remember these rad moves?remeber to watch out for the WHOOOOOO at the end. )



and she makes up funny songs. here is one about her thoughts on boys, not previously viewed here. (don't mind my giggling in the background. )


5. she is smart. her vocabulary is HUGE and she is always using words that you wouldn't expect to hear from a little kid. my fave to hear is "actually" . and the random information this kid spouts off on any given day amazes everyone. she has my sparkling personality, and her dads knack for spouting off random trivia on any given subject. (not quite as good as dad yet, but i have no doubt she'll get there someday)

6. she is a Joy to have around. she is the first to make me crazy, but always brings a smile to my face. she loves attention. and it's easy to give it to her. nothing is dull when Joy is around, she is a delightful little girl who is growing up way too fast. i can't believe she will be in 1st grade next year. and while i love the break from her constant chattering, i miss her too when she is gone.

her birth announcement had a quote on it that fits her to a T.

"Peace is Joy resting, Joy is Peace dancing."

funny things I've noticed recently about Joy.
she is boy crazy. and has been trying to kiss boys. she is that kind of girl. YIKES I'm scared.

she loves infomercials, and even has a lawyers number memorized off a commercial.

she is destined to perform.she loves to sing, wants to dance, and she's always been a drama queen.

she has a super fabulous self esteem. she is the smartest, bravest, cutest girl ever, according to her. all boys think she is beautiful and they all want to kiss her, and marry her.
gotta love a girl who loves herself.

she loves animals. she begs to have a new puppy, she cries over lost pets still, and she loves to play with kittens, and she takes great care of her pets. she is very responsible, and even will pick up poop with a plastic bag. BRAVE!

she loves babies and wonders when we are having a new one. she helps out a ton with Pierce, and lets him play with her, and hangs out with younger cousins. sometimes i wonder if she just likes to be in charge of someone else. she loves to be the boss.

this year at school she would pass out the crayons to everyone at her table. she'd ration out the crayons to certain people. she'd pass out the papers. she got in trouble for being so bossy.
and she peed her pants often because she'd swing the whole time on recess instead of going to the bathroom. and she always was competing with her friend Ashley to be FIRST in line for the drinking fountain.

Oh she planned birthday parties all year long, and now that it is here it isn't happening, it's just too much for me this week with Lance gone. but she has been so worried about it. she said" i told all my friends i was having a party! now they are going to think i am a liar! and a big dork for not having a party!" i don't think anyone will remember anyway. maybe we'll have to do it another day.
