feeling Just like Mr. Crabs. and Mrs. Hannigan all in one!
OK so my reader is ALL CAUGHT UP! yes some i just read, and some i commented on but i didn't blindly clear the whole thing. i think i got almost everyone. and will try to keep up from now on.
i cleaned today. no reading for me. and my back is killing me. i was motivated. i have no clue why but i hustled. and got tons done. by the end though i was PISSY and yelling at people since they were " i'm too tired" , "I'm Distracted" , "i already did a chore", "there is too much! it will take too long" . seriously i was PISSED! and felt free to list off all the crap i did today, while someone was too tired to wipe down the table AND THE BENCHES , heaven forbid that is TOO MUCH WORK! are you kidding me? LIVID! i was livid. LIVID!
and i cannot wait for them to go, talk to other people, play with friends, and be gone away from me for a few (6) hours a day! CAN'T WAIT!
don't get me wrong i love my kids. LOVE LOVE THEM! but sometimes, i can't stand them. i need some space. i need their help, and i didn't make the damn mess!
it doesn't help that we are essentially broke. i hate feeling like we have NO MONEY! and yet, we still need to buy school shoes. and no one is getting back packs or outfits. and then they are bugging me daily about what they need , and telling me about crap they have seen on commercials.
Joy told me today. "mom, we need to go shopping for school clothes. can we go get some school clothes?'
i said," um , sorry you got that new shirt the other day. remeber? sorry but i don't have any money, we won't be going school clothes shopping today."
Joy's response was," MOM you are cheap, you can go buy me some cheap clothes! you are cheap like MR. CRABS!"
i had to think about that for a minute. OH yeah MR.CRABS from sponge Bob. NICE! thanks for that.
later she told me Jc Penney's has " THE LOOK!" for back to school. she thinks we should go there.
nice try. not today.
so there i am . feeling like Mr. Crabs and Mrs. Hannigan all in one.
by the way. i didn't say yesterday that the kids clean and do chores WAY better for LANCE! which frankly sucks.

♡ i love annie and mrs. hannigan! I HATE HATE HATE cleaning all by my self while everyone else messes it up it really ticks me off too!!!
I saw that you had 6 children so I had to pop on over to check ya out.. Nice to meet you, like your blog, and cute children. I have 7 of my own, we had 8 but one passed on. Feel free to check us out, don't worry I'll be back, or maybe you should worry.. :)
Dido at my house. Pay day is Friday......
And they will get one new outfit.
I hear ya. I was on my cleaning role yesterday and by today the kitchen was a wreck. Do you think I was on a role??? AH, yesss, the husband even commented : all you do is rag rag rag", well maybe if we worked like a family team, I won't feel like I was the only one caring if we lived in a clean house. By the way, my kid started kindergarten on Monday and he didn't get a new backpack. He is reusing one that he has had for a while, though I did bust out and buy a $6 lunch tote, on sale at Toys-R-Us. Compromise. The kids don't get everything they want all the time, just sometimes, when the finances permit. Keep to the budget. :)
Ahh sista, I hear ya! I like to read your blog so I can see I am not alone here!
I am feeling ultra poor and crabby too!
:) We need some girl time!!
I sooo understand the lack of money, lack of new school clothes, and lack of sympathetic and cooperative offspring in the household chore department!!
Fortunately, the vintage look is in, so my teenager is totally cool with shopping somewhere like Good Will. :) And my kids are far enough apart that my youngest is fitting into the oldest's casts offs (at least his shirts!) this year.
I should just say ditto but I have to add this. What is it about going back to school that magically makes them think there are no clothes in the closet? I mean really unless they did a big growth spurt and have been running around naked I think they all have clothes. But I must be wrong cuz they keep telling my they have NOTHING for school. Hum... then whey is there so much laundry? UGH
I am sick of the messes that come with summer, sick of yelling everyday just to get them to clean, sick and sick of the fighting, and oh so sick of them eating me out of house and home. I can't wait to just pay the school to feed them LOL
Honey I hear ya loud and clear. I am Crabby and Hanigany too.
Joy is so smart! I don't think my kids were ever call me cheap or know what that means right now.
Dang it! I've been a yelling Mom all week too! It sucks to feel pissy! I wish there was a cure!
Nothing worse than working your tail off and being unappriciated and NOT helped!!! I get just as IRATE. I want school to start, like yesterday...
Sorry you're having a rought time. I definitely know what that feels like. I admit I am cheap, but my kids are too young to realize it!:)
hang in there! I feel your pain! Except I'm 8 months pregnant and I don't EXACTLY FEEL like bending over to pick up the legos I didn't scatter everywhere or the cars you played with everywhere! I'm soooo Miss Hannigan! And I hate feeling broke all the time too...sucks! Luckily for me, I only have one that is school age that "needs" new school stuff (Jaden is a pre-schooler but he has no clue...thank goodness)!
School will be starting before you know it and you can have some peace and quiet for your sanity soon!!!!!!
Almost everyone I know is skipping buying new school clothes this year. After dropping $105 for school and then another $50 or more in supplies I will be buying Hope's school clothes on sale during Christmas!
Hang in there!
Julie, your kids always look great! You have such great taste, that I am sure that they will all look darling when school starts. It is sooo hard trying to get everything done. We have back to school night tonight. I can't believe it is already here! :)
according to my kids i am the meanest mom ever! they dont get to do anything unless their rooms are clean. i have gone so far as to lock one of my kids in their room and they were to knock on the door when it was clean
can't wait for tomorrow!!
I'm feeling you on this one...you have no idea how much.
We aren't doing much as far as school clothes either. My kids don't know that yet though.
I can't believe school starts in 12 days for you! hooray! at our costco they are sellilng those really cool massage chairs - we sat in them for 20 mins - that would be a nice thing for your aching back!!!! hang in there girl!
aw, we love you Miss Hannigan! Hang in there Mom-you are doing a fantastic job! Great job cleaning up too--there must be something in the air-I spent Wednesday scrubbing up my house as well.
