do you have your Breaking Dawn book buying adventure planned?

are you SUPER EXCITED like me?

where are you getting your copy? and what time?

want to know how i made Indian fry bread? keep reading

~~ super easy. recipe alert! ~~

-you take a bag of Rhodes rolls and put them on a greased pan
-cover with plastic wrap
-let them rise until at least double (but mine rose and fell and still worked great.)
-take a roll, or cut a piece of it, press flat between your hands
(thicker and they are thick and thinner are crispy this was our first time and we didn't try them before so we had some of each. all of them were good)
-fry in hot oil until puffy and golden.
-remove from oil and drain on paper towel covered plate.
- serve warm.

*top with powdered sugar, honey for dessert style (or in my case appetizer _
*refried beans ,cheese, lettuce and salsa, taco meat for taco style. and of course my homemade pico de gallo (everything is heavenly with that on it.)
* some kids chose to eat theirs plain. whatever floats their boat.

my kids thought it was heavenly! they horked it down.
i did a whole bag of rolls (36) and we have one piece left.
my mom and brother were here too. they come for dinner every Thursday night and Sundays. so we are guaranteed a delicious meal at home once or twice a week.

this was super easy. i just need to remember to put the rolls out to thaw early .
the chopping the pico took the most time of all the dinner prep.
and i could do with just sugar and honey. heehee

have a fab Friday!

I make those, but we call them scones. Cinnamon sugar is good on them too. I have a recipe for real fry bread if you want it.

Yeah for the company for Rosie! You are nice to take you mom's dog because I know you don't love dogs.

Wow, two load of dishes a day? I think I'd switch to paper ; )

BD will be delivered to my door tomorrow. I ain't stayin' up all night to go get it. I have other plans!

I wish like mad that I was going to get the new Breaking Dawn book with some fun midnight thingy--- but my only friend I know that is reading it is having her galbladder removed today. And my sis-in-law who is reading it isn't into adventures like that. Maybe I'll go out solo and just get it at midnight to say I did it!

And you rock reading five books in such a short amount of time--- go you!

Yay for a GOOD day with much accomplishment! I too did the dishes and cleaned the entire kitchen yesterday....it felt great but my body hurt so bad afterwards! No more space for this belly to go! :) So, I was looking on the Barnes & Noble site about the book parties and it said to wear your prom dress.....just wondering if you were and are you taking pictures??? Can't wait to hear all about it! I finally got Eclipse from the library, so I'll catch up someday! :) Happy Friday!!!

I'm having a GNO/Breaking Dawn Party at the local bookstore tonight! So excited! Of course, the realtor called and wants to show my house this morning so I'm not as excited as I should be for the book. But I will be at about 12:00 this afternoon! Enjoy your day!

I'm a total Twilight NERD. I have my spot for the midnight release of Breaking Dawn. Myself and some other lady's are going to the party at Barnes and Noble and then I'm 13th group(my wrist band says BILLY)and each group consists of 50 people. WOOHOO,I CAN'T wait. Navajo tacos are a huge hit at our house. I'm going to try your method it sounds WAY easier than mine(I do homemade bread:-0). Have a GREAT weekend. I'm VERY excited to curl up with my new book. YEAH!!!

Good things for you!

I spent all day cleaning but I still look around to a mess. Of course, the morning was spent cleaning someone else's house....a neighbor that moved.

The Indian fry bread tacos sound good. Maybe I'll do that tonite.

Have fun with your book buying and reading!

This is also a great way to use up left over roast (pork or beef).

-just shread it into a pan and add a little taco seasoning and a bit of water.

-we do a dab of beans and meat with all the other toppings you mentioned.

-also try wing sauce if you like it. Yum!

Oh yeah,

-yeah for back to school
-boo for messes
-yeah for getting them cleaned up

With all of the messes happening in my house...I am a peace if at least the dishes are done.

I wish I was nice enough to let my kids have a dog. They would be over the moon about it-but I an soooo not an animal person.

Wow, I might even be able to that recipe.

My book is bought and coming in the mail from Amazon. I am totally going to have to put The Host on hold for it.

♡ Yay for a clean house! I'm so glad that i don't have a house to clean up just to be messed up 10 seconds later "for now"! It's been kind of nice. Although I still have to do laundry and minimum pick up stuff.

I still need to read teh first 3 books. I now know where the library is here though! :)
