Memory lane monday -memories of me Meme, and other random stuff!
just catching up today. Lance is still gimpy. and needs to go to the Dr. or urgent care. were guessing torn ligament, this ankle has been giving him trouble for a long time, but it gets better, and he puts it off, apparently this has done him in finally. poor guy and seriously he needs to get better. i need help. and he can't do much more than sit on the couch, watching him walk or do anything looks painful (painfully dorky) but it's conference call Monday so i doubt it will be getting better today. and for some strange reason he refused to go that day, hoping it would get better on it's own.
yesterday we spent a lazy day , he was gimpy, i was not feeling rad, Hope has an ear infection, Pierce had the runs. so we lounged all day. slept in, read ALL DAY! my mom came for lunch, we had dessert first since the lasagna wasn't done yet, then she took Liberty and Joy home with her to spend the night, i read the Book, Tending Roses by Lisa Wingate, loaned to me by Jenny. i loved it! fast one day enjoyable read. great life lessons, fabulous thoughts on enjoying the moments , patience, forgiveness , faith. Just what i needed to READ!
today i need to catch back up, clean some stuff, and do some damage control. the house goes to CRAP fast when the kids are doing their own thing. and we aren't going behind them cleaning up and making them help.
So that's what I'm up to.
I'm feeling like a lazy blogger today. and trying to catch up there too.
seems like everyone is doing this one, SO here we go, i had been resisting for the last couple weeks , but i want to know what people remember about me too i guess,( this could be scary) but here we go.
Memories of me! meme
Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory(or a few) that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! ( even a memorable blog post if we are only blog friends.)
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments
I want Lurkers to participate too! sign your name if you don't have a blogger ID.
so get to it. this could be extra scary since i know lots of bloggers in real life, and i am such a dork in real life, there is lots that might crop up. maybe not. we'll see who plays.
have a Fab Monday!
tonight we have family night with the WHOLE FANDAMILY (on my side), swimming whoohoo! should be scary.
looking forward to fun this week too . BUNKO!
and yeah more cleaning. getting closer to school starting. the weeks are flying by, and i'm in no better order than i was when school got out. i am more focused, but i still have tons to do. blogging might slack while i attempt to get my house in order, i have the urge to finally move in, unpack all the boxes in corners, and get the dressing room organized and ready for back to school. Once it's in order morning should be smooth sailing if i get it done right. i don't want to scramble anymore. and i want to get the system in place awhile before it's necessary.
so i have that.
and i also need to get a crib out of my front room. my sister gave us her old one. and Pierce's is broken, and this new to us crib has been in the front room since last month. early. i need to overhaul his room. clean the carpet, and move the old broken crib out and the new one in, maybe I'll finally decorate it too.
summer is running out. i have this huge urgency to get it done. and yet lack gumption. I'm trying harder. hopefully I'll get it done soon. i should set a goal . or a deadline. what do you think? end of the month? dressing room and Pierce's room in order? THAT IS IT!
THE END OF THE MONTH! i have to do it. and post pictures!
Pierce's room.
dressing room.
GOAL SET!

I am totally cracking up that you heard a rumor that I never wore crew neck t-shirts in HS!!! Did you really hear that? Just to put that rumor aside... I played v-ball and wore t-shirts all the time! Although I will say I tried to avoid wearing them so much to school my junior and senior year since I wore them everyday to practice. :)
Memories of JULIE!!! Wow, my most recent and favorite memories of you are of course from bunko. I have always loved the energy you have brought to our group even before you were "officially" in our group. You always say it how it is!! You are a blast and I'm glad to have gotten to know you better these last few years!
I am so needing to get a million things done too....today, I made newborn tutu's for the girls' newborn pictures....one more thing to mark off my list! :) I need to be cleaning, but know if I don't get these little things done before they come they just won't happen. Life just goes by too quickly! I have to say that the memories I have of you are all your sweet comments on my blog...I love it when you get to comment because i know how busy you really are and it means so much! Thanks for being such a great friend to me from so far away....maybe someday I'll actually get to meet you in person! ;)
wow a whole book in one day. i seriously need to do that! and Tending Roses looks perfect!
sounds like you have your work cut out for ya. i actually wish i lived closer i would love to come help and keep you company! i get so much done when i have someone keeping me company. sometimes i make Paul follow me around the house and talk to me as i tackel big projects!
First off so glad you liked the book! Now onto memories:
Obviously A-camp and our first meeting, I remember you saying something about that stake service project the youth did and how you saw me at the dance afterwards dancing with Jason R! Probably something about crushing on him too (Me of course).
Jr and eating lunches on "senior hill", me getting some major slack (and justly due) for backing out of Sadies Group because my date was being a dork and wanted to switch groups so he could go with his friends.
Singles Ward and the ever so favorite memory of your "introduction" of me to Jason (which lead to Jeff!)!
And then lunches (ready for summer to be over so we can get back to our weekly schedule!), bunko, gno (remember Mama Mia soon!!), fabulous late night discussion (usually in someone's car!), and just hanging out. Thanks for being such a great friend!!!
Of course I love seeing you every month at Bunko!
The memory I have is when we had 'book club' AKA:movies! And, afterwards going to Walmart the one by my house. It was late and you knew 2 of the workers & a woman shopping. It really shouldn't have shocked me. You are so happy & friendly to everyone!
yay!! for getting organized..i am feeling like i need to do that too.
memories...ok my very favorite was when we were spying on a certain person in the pool and then following them later that night.
then all the trips to "mill" cause we were that kind of cool.
juicy stories...the way only you can tell them.
ummm...you calling to tell me you hit your face and broke your teeth and nose and me laughing. ok is it bad that i am laughing right now. i know i am a jerk...but that is what you love about me right?
love you!
Hey there-Oh I don't make that jewelry I only wish I were half as talented! I used to be a rep for that company a few years ago and still have a lot of inventory. Just thought if I could help Laurie out I would and I just can't wear it all. I wanted to share it because I love it. Thanks for playing and good luck!!! ;)
Shocked at a few things! Need to call or e-mail you!!!
julie!! lol. is lindsey talking about who i think she's talking about in the pool? so funny. memories of you. you are a great friend. always have been. and that carries a lot of weight with me. your the kind of person i can tell anything to. memories include those dang dances (remember) and going shopping on gradutation day (i still have my foxy lady shirt) and missing you when you were in california. getting together with all of you at BJ's last August. So happy you are all friends and you stick together. Know that I love you and miss you.
hugs-
I almost got that book today at the library - tending roses! I might have to get it next time thanks for the info.
Hey...I want Julie memories! They sound fun!
Last summer I read two 500+ page books in one day. Granted I didn't sleep much and they were the kind of books you can skim and still know what's going on...I doubt I'll ever do it again, but I did it.
Ok, I wanna play Ü
Since I haven't met you yet~ My favorite post of yours was the one I read when I very first started blogging. I had never heard of bloggin until a woman in our ward sent me a invite to her blog. I loved the idea of bloggin but was worried because I wasn't as together as her with my house, my kids, being a better mormon etc... Well, I started one anyhow and found you through my cousin sherry's blog and Cara. One of the first post I read of yours was May 18 Confessions of a crazymama.(yep, I went through the archives to get the exact post cause I loved it so much!)
You were so much like me and I delighted in your post.
Batteling with depression,
listening to your own playlist, saying your memory sucks, admiting you are not a super mom, saying you drink your
breakfast(sodas..the breakfast of champions),hating false complimenters, liar, fair weather friends, resenting harsh judgments of you and loving (and sharing that you do) ingrown hair and zits.
I love that you put it out there. All of it. It helped me see I don't have to try to be(or pretend to be molly mormon) I can just be me!
I liked your personality from the get go! Like I said You rock Crazy mama!
way to go for deep cleaning and purging the maternity clothes.
The first memory I have of you was when you posted on my blog last year when my dh bought the leaf blower when he ran to get me a Dr. Pepper.

We started to re each other blogs regularly, email each other, and found out that we have tons of things in common. Our height (& weight) being 2 og them. LOVE ya and keep the lbs # under wraps.
Heehee... I remember mommy's night the first time I met you. You were first pregnant w/ your last baby. We went to Applebee's for appetizers after a movie. You were sitting next to me and I think you had a drink sitting on the seat next to you and it spilled, but you thought you peed your pants... that sure made me giggle! You are such a fun, FABULOUS person!
O.K- you were younger then me so I didn't really know you in High School. But I knew you were friends with some of the fun girls in my ward/stake, so I was predisposed to like you. Then I think I found you blogging from Angela. And how can I come up with something specific about blogging? I like it all. You inspired me to be more of a real person, and try not to have one of those boring blogs where everything is perfect all of the time. And my cousin Laurie is right. You remind me of her! (compliment)
