more random. answering a ?? or two. and my mail had some surprises inside
1.i firmly believe in " Fake it 'til you make it! " for all things that i struggle with.
a. i fake happy when i am depressed.
b. i fake competent parent/"with it" out in public.
c. i fake self assured when insecure.
d. i fake interested in certain conversations with Lance. (work, math, physics)
e. i fake that i'm fine when i feel like Crap.
**it works for me. and it's way more interesting than, whiny, sickly,depressed, insecure weenie me, so yeah consider it a GREAT THING!
2. i got my annual cancer registry letter today. it's not my favorite thing but i can deal with it, if i ignore it they continue to send them to me. better to just get the damn thing over with. and really they just want to know what Dr. i see now, IF anything is going on, and my treatment plan if there is one. it still bugs. and is just one more thing to do. and a reminder that i had to deal with cancer in my past. OH i guess i should be glad i kicked cancer's A$$, and am alive for the lifetime follow up. yeah i guess that is OK too. i KICKED CANCER'S A$$ AND I AM ALIVE FOR LIFETIME FOLLOW-UP! I ROCK!
3. in the mail today i also got the kids registration paperwork for school. see, it is happening fast this year! have you seen the back to school stuff at Children's place? Gymboree? Old Navy? yeah apparently i think like retail stores. way ahead of time.
4. Lance is doing a Star wars puzzle he bought to do with the boys. they ditched him after 15 minutes, but the girls have spent some time doing it, including humming the theme song.
5. Amy asked a Question "In Utah, its very common for people to have a lot of kids. I come from a family of 9 kids. How do people react in Arizona? I have to ask because when I have lived outside of Utah, we got a lot of weird looks and strange comments. Does this happen to you?"
yes Amy it happens all the time. people staring , and counting. asking if they are all mine? are they twins? whatever. yeah i get that and i only have 6. a few times people have been jerks. and said RUDE THINGS to US! usually to lance and he is always ready to ream them. i on the other hand am shocked every time people give me dirty looks. i come from a family of 7 kids, so 6 is still smallish in my experience. yes they are stacked together like no sane person would ever do, but i couldn't imagine spreading them out. i like that they have built in friends, i like that the clothes pass from one right to the next with no lapse in use for the girls.
it's semi common for people here in AZ to have a bunch of kids too. but it seems like it was our parents that did that. fewer people our age are having large families for whatever reason. 4 or less seems like the norm.
6. i Have a kid fascinated with taking off his diaper. footie pajamas here he comes!~

i'm really good at faking it to make it. sometimes i fool myself and realize it's made me feel better by faking. weird how that happens!

i do have to say that i come from a huge fam., and nowadays i think anyone over 4 kids is supermom! i can't imagine, becuz my 4 make my head spin, but you are one tough cookie for having 6!!!! i'm not sure if i'm done or not, but sometimes i think that i might have another so that i don't fall in the mormon stereotype of 4 kids! well...not only for that reason. anyways, i think you'd be a fun mom and i think you have to be good at "winging it" with 6 young children.

2. WOO HOO on Kicking Cancers A$S!! We are glad you did and that you are around so that we can all blog stock you! We love crazymama! I am going to have a t-shirt some day that says that. LOL
3. School is really creeping up again and I am having anxiety about sending my 3rd child to kindergarten. I am in denial.
4. I grew up wiht 7 too. You still rock for having 6 4 kicks my butt. And are lucky that your hubby wants a big family too. I would love one more but hubby would rather die and would rather keep him so we are stuck at 4. Darn.
5. Mine is a diaper hoodinie too. Drives me nuts! I keep finding diaper bombs all over the house. UGH! I am about to duct tape the damn thing on him! Good luck!
I'm the oldest of 6 and I have often wondered why I didn't have more than 2 children myself. But my life was rich with my siblings support and I'm hoping I gave that to the two I have. I applaud you...you have your hands full.

I've always wondered too about people making mean comments to you. I had custody of my neice for a while and she is right between D adn Ky in age so it looked like for a while when I had her that I was having a baby every year. And I had a lot of people make mean comments. And I only had three! People really are stupid!
And I also love that you admit to faking it---- I think everyone does a little though! But you ADMIT it--- you are so awesome!

I do the SAME thing.. fake it baby! Oh yeah! Friends say I have it together... HA little do they know I am a freaking lunatic ;-) I also do the same thing when dh talks math, work, etc.. TOTALLY over my head! He showed me what he does on the computer the other day. Yeah. UMm. Had NO CLUE!
And we ALWAYS get looks. I bought a shirt that said PROUD MOM TO MANY (with 5 stick kids) and under that YES THEY ARE ALL MINE! I love to wear it in public. I am so sick of the looks!!
As someone who was just slapped upside the head with her own health issues, I can totally understand where you are coming from with the cancer thing.
Hey Catwoman! Nothing wrong with a little faking it! Or even a lot of it, for that matter. I'm sure Todd wishes I would fake it a little more and stop whining about how badly I want grass in the backyard. I'm not so sure I can fake loving the brown dirt, though :0\

When I ran into a woman I barely knew in the school parking lot when I was pregnate with grace (my 5th, but his hers and ours our 9th) and she saw I was pregnate and SCREAM across the parking lot_ Holy Sh!!Haven't you people heard of the latest invention? It's called birth control! Nice..I didn't even know what to say. I just ignored her.Walked to my car and tried not to cry!
