Photo story Friday- birthday boy gets to lick the spatula.

Tomorrow my baby turns 2.
i posted about his birth for this photostory Friday.
Today I had to bake a cake for it, since i will be busy reading this book all night and every moment i can sneak in.
as soon as i start cooking or baking anything
my little helpers rush in with something to stand on.
today it was plastic organizer things.
so they can watch. up close .
(that's the reason i generally wait until they have gone to bed before i bake.)
less help in the kitchen makes mama happy.
But since they were supervising the mixing of the batter,
they were to closest at hand to lick the beater, and the spatula.

Hope kept telling me she was so dirty she'd need a bath when she was done.
one look at their dirty faces and i had to get a picture. (or 15)
Pretty soon Pierce thought Hope's looked better and wanted a lick of her's too.
since he's the birthday boy she let him have a few,
then he was trying to eat both at once.
Happy Birthday Pierce we'll see what i get Posted tomorrow.
this might just be it!
and the fact that my baby is 2 and i am not expecting another one,
any time in the near future IS HUGE!
the farthest apart any of my kids are is 25months.
the closest ones are 10 1/2 months apart.
i almost have no idea how to take it.
i guess i better just enjoy it while it lasts.
6 kids and holding is pretty great/insane
(depending on the day.)
(please ignore the messy kitchen, the outlets that aren't covered, and the stripped wallpaper, we are still not finished with our re-do)

that is such a great post! i remember that original photo that you've used in your banner. enjoy being not pregnant! (if that's what you want) i hope the cake turns out well and that you post more pics!

Love these kind of candid photos. A two year old baby, woohoo! Your not nursing anyone, and diapers may soon be a memory. It is almost like you can be your own woman. Well, maybe not. We just got back from CA last night and my sister and niece went down at midnight to get breaking dawn too. I finished my reread of the first three books at the beach, and I've got to say I am too annoyed at Bella right now to shell out the cash and buy the book. I'll get over it. ANd then I may borrow it from Crystal;)

I can never get enough of my kids licking the batter. I love batter so why not enjoy it? And you shouldn't have put a disclaimer about the kitchen - I didn't notice untill I read it!
Mmm yummy! I love the batter too! I actually like cookie dough better than the cookie sometimes!
